Before Equestria was founded and long before the Tribal Era was another age of adventures and prophecies. These are the tales of those times; the sagas of old gods and first mortals living lives of myth and magic.

All pieces are rooted in the Iceverse with extensive elements of G1 and G3 of My Little Pony. This off-shoot of 'Missing Pages' holds all the pre-history goodness that never made it beyond these chapters. No short is scrapped or incomplete and any spoilers are noted in the author's notes. Pieces range from [E] to [T] and will generally contain magical combat the (hence violence tag) and traditional fairy tale and mythology grittiness (hence the teen rating, gore, and death tags). Tags do the best to reflect as much content as possible; expanded tags would include: OC, other, yaks, Smooze, Buffalo, griffins, zebra, sirens, mules, donkeys, twinkle-eye ponies, flutter ponies, sea ponies, and windigo. Before she had her cult town, Starlight Glimmer lived her life as a wanderer with a decaying mind. The mare's self-imposed isolation increases the instability of her corrupt ideals by giving them the chance to fester. Her inability to reconcile the loss of her friend Sunburst outlines some of her worst parts, which she jots down in a series of journals.

Sunset Shimmer struggles with keeping a regular diary. She seems to have trouble with a lot of things related to life in Canterlot, but that can't be right. Canterlot was supposed to be the fairy tale life and dream come true for the aspiring archmage.

Perfection be damned, as long as Sunset doesn't fall short, that's what matters. She is the Faithful Student and the shining light of the castle. What she is not is a failure.

At least Princess Celestia will always be there for her.

Fillydelphia has a problem – and a particularly troubling one. Normally, this wouldn't concern a Manehattan mare like Coco Pommel. After all, Manehattan has problems too.
