Well from what I can see- yeah this will be a rather messy sign for things to come. I liked the moments with the gryphons, they have this fun back and forth squabbling that continues to just be both disconcerting and dangerous at times and at times weirdly funny. Volibeak continues to be my personal favorite of the gryphons and Grandeur is a close second even if he's far more subdued in his villainy. On a much lighter note, I did rather enjoy Soarin and Spitfire here with his "fifth leg" moment a nice bit of unexpected levity for a coming moment that I guess might be happening soon. I mean they are flying straight into what is hostile territory. But what truly worries me is the end bit with Chaotic Sunset. She's a complete unknown factor and is going to drive some wedges into the battles between ponies and gryphons in that she's going to split the forces and, more importantly, is probably going to drive a real big wedge between Discord and Celestia which will be rather a big problem if so with Luna's obsessive mental state being her own downfall. This is going places I didn't expect and I'm here for it.

Thanks. This comment filled me with glee, knowing I'm taking you on such a journey.
Lol the bad guys I wrote are personal favourites of the griffons? Excellent. There's always a certain level of worry when creating OCs that they will integrate well and feel as natural as the original characters they interact with. I'll be developing more unfriendly faces in coming chapters as Grandeur rolls out his big plans. If I can find a way to put Gallus in, I will too. But as per canon, he's gonna be a poor orphan on the street and so in quite a different position to in your big fic.
Glad to know the Soarinfire moment was enjoyable. I had fun writing it and developing it from a simple joke into a scene with a bit more depth. They have helped bring several good funny moments to the story and I have a few more in mind for them yet.
Two appearances in and Chaotic Sunset is already a worry? Don't worry, she only wants to destabilize and overthrow her mother. Probably. Discord is in stone (for now...) so he's kinda safe? But then there is also her younger sister in the mix and I am half tempted to have them meet sooner rather than later for a bit of friendly sibling time. But that will depend on how things unfold.
Obsessive Luna is both odd and engaging to write. Poor Twilight has her hooves full there.
Interesting to see this develop more and more before war finally comes. The Chief sure is making his moves carefully. I suppose this is the beginning of Luna's darker side taking over her mind.
Spitfire and Soarin are a funny couple for sure. That scene got a few laughs out of me.
