Discord is fed up with his world. Defeated twice and imprisoned for over a thousand years does that. With this in mind he plans to instead to travel to alternate universes, hopefully one without those damned elements of harmony.
The worlds he travel to will be a mixture of ones I create, ones suggested in the comments and if I'm lucky maybe another stories world

I don't suppose you watch Adventure Time? If so, I suggest that as one of the universes. Lots of room for chaos given all the crazy stuff that happens there. :P
Or if you're familiar with Minecraft, that'd be a contrasting universe to visit, considering it's so structured and unchaotic. It'd be interesting to see what chaos he would cause there.

He ends up in the Realm of Mirrored. It mimics his realm in exact opposite, even down to their discord leaving. Meaning Chrysalis, Sombra, Sunset Shimmer, Nightmare Moon, Himself(Mirrored), (And probably a sixth), would be the Elements of Harmony, whilst Celestia and the Mane Six would be pure evil. Also, the Bad Guys are winning before he shows up.

Can we have Discord turn up in "our" Universe? I'd love it if he became the next President of the USA, or the Prime Minister of the UK, or better yet, he replaces Kim Jong-un as the ruler of North Korea. Then he could really cause some chaos.

Crossovers... There are all sorts of things out there. Take Pony Fantasy 6, for instance. It's exactly what it says on the tin; Final Fantasy, but with ponies. Then there's duel monsters, particularly CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES. Or stop by the Dragon ball z universe or two. Hell, bring someone to another world for instance.

I could think of some very terrible universes that would make him run crying back to Fluttershy in his home-verse.
This is the one sort of story where a collaboration would make perfect sense and result in no internal conflicts, since every world Discord ends up in will be utterly different with no relation or connection whatsoever to any universe he's visited previously or will visit afterward.

Hmm... I had an idea similar to this concept of Order, except I had an Alicorn OC who represented Order and he was the brother of Discord. They used to balance the world and stuff, blah blah blah, then he and Discord got into a fight. The usual.
