The worlds he travel to will be a mixture of ones I create, ones suggested in the comments and if I'm lucky maybe another stories world
Universe Gamma 218-X. Current universe takes place approximately 80 years in the future relative to Alpha 001-A (AKA, 'My Little Pony Friendship is Magic') and where Twilight does not reach godhood and Discord has not been reformed

And the last element bearer breathed her last
It was Twilight. Only she would be determined enough to last this long to hold Discord back from all that she held dear. No doubt Celestia would be with her in her final minutes, both for her student and her family who no doubt would be the focus of his rage
Oh how wrong they can be. While Discord certainty wanted his revenge, it was not the same if it was only her family. She wouldn't feel the effects, dying frees you of that.
No.
It was also what a rational psychopath would do, seek revenge. No doubt Celly and Lune Lune would be waiting with the Elements of Harmony re-equipped.
After having nearly 90 years to plan a new plan, he had come up with genius. Instead of directly going against the elements of harmony, which had led him to defeat....twice, why not simply change the battlefield? Instead of risking defeat at the hooves of the Princesses, why not simply slither into another world that will make chaos easier?
Regardless, it sounded fun, so that's what he was doing.
All he had to do was wait for the news of the Great Twilight Sparkle's death to spread throughout Equestria. Oh how Celly would love to brag to him about her exploits and the reputation she now held throughout the land. Many would remember Discord through stories passed down from their parents or grandparents.
And here it came. Like a wave of despair sweeping over the country. The ironic thing was that as people panicked over him returning, this panic only served to free him more.
Crack
The sound echoed through his mind. His stone prison was slowly breaking open and soon he would be free. Free to spread chaos once again
The stone statue that held him shook as a rift carved it's way down the side. A glowing heart of darkness pulsed gently as more and more fissures spread over his tomb. A weed that had climbed it's way up it's body and gently wrapped around his deer horn shuddered and was torn apart as stone began to break off his body.
A chunk slowly came away from his eye and fell to the ground, shattering on impact. His pupil wavered in the light from a world he had been blind to for so long. Stone rained from his wings as they rustled and opened slowly, making a noise not dissimilar to old parchment.
A satisfied click of the tongue came from his mouth as it slowly opened against the pressure of the failing stone. A deep chuckle echoed forth as his claw burst free and gently ripped the stone away from his paw.
His hoof kicked out, breaking the rock that coated his leg and stepped down from his position and onto fresh blue grass that grew quickly and writhed in his presence. He crouched low to the ground and silver particles wormed their way through the ground to his claw, slowly forming a silver chalice that filled its self with chocolate milk from a small purple cloud that he burped out. As he took a swig from it his wings opened up to twice their size and pushed down hard, sending him catapulting into the air.
As he rocketed through the sky, never spilling a drop, he calmly regarded the horizon behind him.
Ah, there they were
Twin bursts of golden and dark blue lights flared up in the sky as they realised their mistake. They rose quickly twirling around each other before shooting towards him. Of course they would never reach him in time. In fact, they should be glad he's leaving and wrecking havoc on another world instead....on second thoughts he had better get a move on, they hated anyone having fun.
With his momentum he destroyed the entrance to the sanctum that had guarded it for over 5,000 years. Huge shards of rocks impaled the area around where he landed and dust filled the air. Walking out of the cloud, Discord approached the small orb that stood upon a pillar. He took a deep breath as he gingerly picked it up in his claw, a relieved chuckle when he did not disintegrate on contact
"DISCORD! NO!" Celestia demanded from the doorway
Discords head turned around to face her and her sister, while his body took a few seconds to realise and also turn
"Why, Celestia! How good of you to join me, and you too of course little Luna" Discord said patronisingly
"What are thy intentions?" Luna asked, eyeing the orb warily
"Oh you should be glad! You will hold feasts for this day! I'm leaving" He answered
This surprised them. "Leaving? Leaving where?" Luna replied angrily
"This world. That's right, I'm traveling to parallel worlds to find one more ripe for the chaos picking" He grinned cockily
Celestia stamped her hoof "And you think we would allow you to terror others in our place!" She demanded
Discord laughed "Yes. I think you are. Because if you try to use those elements on me and fail, I will wreck such wondrous insanity upon this world, and it will be all your fault. Letting me go is your safe option, your get out of jail free. You'll most likely never see me again, and everyone you love will be safe. Isn't that what you want?"
Luna narrowed her eyes "We shall never allow this! Shall we sister!?" She spat, turning to Celestia for support.
Celestia stood still. Her teeth ground against each other but she didn't say a word. Luna's face fell as she watched her and Discord shrugged as if he had expected this. The orb shattered under the pressure in his claw and a silvery light wafted out, circling his claw before seeping into it.
A single bead of sweat rolled down the side of Celestia's head as she faced her decision. A chance to be rid of him once and for all, her kingdom, as well as the rest of the world, safe from chaos. All at the possible cost of others who will suffer his unwelcome intrusion
Discord lazily traced his first claw through the air, where a sharp light split the air in two. With her continued silence and Luna's increasing despair he took this as her blessing and tore downwards where the very fabric of reality was torn as pure creation magic flowed through his arm. He waved his lion paw and party hats appeared on the two Alicorns heads as they glared at him as he slithered his way through the barrier, and out of their lives.

His claw entered the alien air first. His face peeked out from the shimmering portal and scanned the area around him. A dark forest surrounded him on all sides, trees creaking softly in the still night. A damp mist weaved throughout the trees and condensed against his warm body.
Stepping out completely he glanced around, kicking a leaf on the floor subconsciously. A gasp of breath alerted him to an incoming presence. Out of the woods a pony wearing hot pink armour came stumbling out holding a blood soaked rag against his side as he looked behind him. He was a earthy brown colour with bright green hair poking just below his helmet and partially obstructing his view. His cutie mark was hidden under the familiar royal guard armour, apart from the colour of it. Turning just in time he saw Discord where his eyes widened
As Discord smiled smugly and prepared to hear his first screams of fear he got something a bit unexpected.
The pony threw himself to the ground in front of him, announcing "Lord Discord! Sir!"
Discord blinked in surprise as his grin slowly widened without his control
"Now this is more like it!"

Celestia turned in disgust of herself and prepared to leave, wings fluttering as she spread them out. Luna looked away but also got ready to head back. Although she was horrified to feel it, she could not describe how happy she was that Discord was now just a bad memory, and that while many may suffer, her subjects would be safe.
As the two Alicorns were just about to go a rumble echoed out of the darkness.
Twin pinpricks of red light shot out through the darkness and traced Celestia and Luna's bodies.
"SCAN COMPLETE. TARGET NOT IDENTIFIED. TWO LIFEFORMS OF ADEQUATE INTELLIGENCE IDENTIFIED. BEGINNING QUESTIONS"
The red light slowly faded to become two dots of green light. A metal clunk was heard and something moved in the darkness. A metal screech came shortly before another metal clunk. Out of the darkness protruded a twisted iron horn. Celestia and Luna backed away in fear as the head came through.
The right half was largely covered in a bluish, metal mask that quite accurately depicted a ponies face. The eye, made of glass, seemed realistic enough and glowed a soft green as it regarded the two Alicorns. From a distance it could almost be mistaken for a ponies face, despite the fact it reflected the light slightly. However the left side seemed to come from a nightmare
There was a mixture of wires and sparking circuits that flashed harshly in the dark room. The eye was a small circle of glass that was surrounded by small wires that fed into it. It whirred and the shutter opened slightly more as it took in more of the two Princesses. The mouth, that was closed on the covered side, was an angry mesh of metal on this side and vaguely resembled dagger like teeth
The rest of the body limped forward, having not moved in the past few thousand years. It's body was largely covered with the same metallic blue armour except the joints that were free to allow movement, more wires worming between them. On it's chest was a large crack, where an orange light seeped through. On it's back stood two mechanical wings, although the left one had lost all the aluminium 'feathers' and so was only a light skeletal frame. The right had lost many of the feathers as well, leaving a small trail of them behind it. Stepping fully into the light it revealed it's tail and mane to made of tight coils of black wires looked exactly like hair. It stood as tall as Luna, shorter than Celestia, but taller than the average pony. It had no cutie-mark.
"WHERE IS [IDENTITY UNKNOWN]?" It asked
Luna gulped and Celestia steeled her nerves and stepped forwards "The one who took the orb?"
"CORRECT"
"Discord's already gone"
It tilted it's head sideways "IDENTITY HAS BEEN UPDATED. LOCATION HAS BEEN UPDATED. RUNNING LOGIC PROCESSOR. OBJECTIVE UPDATED. OBJECTIVE: PURSUE AND ELIMINATE IDENTITY KNOWN AS 'DISCORD'. ACTIVATING
The chest grew brighter as the orange light got stronger. There was a mucky white glow that surrounded it's horn that slowly consumed its body. It's shape stood for a few more seconds, covered in a dirty light. It then imploded, leaving an empty space behind along with two baffled Alicorns.
Celestia smiled gently at Luna "Maybe hope isn't completely lost then"
"Now this is more like it!" Discord chuckled, a glass of chocolate milk filling top down.
The pony on the floor rushed to his hooves and turned around, pulling a small steel dagger out of a sheath and holding it between his teeth. The rag fell away from his side to reveal a weeping spear wound. He grimaced but stood his ground, glaring into the woods
"Do not worry Sir, I shall protect you with my life!" He assured the bemused Discord behind him.
Discord yawned "Oh don't be so dramatic." And snapped his claws.
The wound on the stallions body thrived and sealed shut. He looked down in surprise before glancing up as Discord swooped past him, still calmly sucking up chocolate milk with a straw that had come from nowhere.
"Lord Discord! Thank you so much!" He replied, bowing low
Discord snorted and turned his head "How could I let anything bad happen to my fans? Speaking of bad, who in Tartarus are you so worried about?"
The stallion stared at him, gobsmacked "The...the enemy...sir. Order? Don't you remember?"
A faint clop of hooves in the distance alerted Discord to the 'enemy'. Coming out of the woods were two ponies, a mare and stallion. The stallion was an earth pony and the mare was a unicorn. They were both the same shade of grey with slightly darker hair coming down the sides of the unicorns face and on top of the earth ponies head. Their cutie-marks were both a small white dot and they looked at Discord as if he was the most boring thing in the world.
All in all, they were the most pathetic creatures Discord had ever seen
"Now what's with you two?" He asked nonchalantly, gesturing at them with his glass of chocolate milk
Both spoke at the same time in a long monotone voice which held no emotion "We are Order, here to cleanse the world of Chaos"
The guard behind Discord snarled and crouched low, ready to jump. Discord held up his lion paw to stop him and regarded the two ponies
"You two, really think, that you can take the likes of me?" Discord asked, shaking his head. The two ponies nodded "Well then, bring it!" He shouted twirling and striking a pose, bat wing pointed at the two ponies. A bolt of lightning shot out and struck a grey barrier that the unicorn held up. The earth pony jumped through the shield which shattered just as he was about to connect and landed on Discord
Discord held up his arms in mock horror as the pony collided with a chocolate clone of Discord. He thrashed in the liquid goo as Discord turned to the unicorn who had picked up a sharp rock with telekinesis and whipped it at Discord. He held up a claw and the stone slowed down until it floated over the first talon, spinning slowly.
A short bright light and the stone disappeared, replaced by a circular diamond that shone in the dismal light. He flicked it back at the pony who stared at him blankly, a series of shields appearing to bounce the diamond off track. While she seemed as lifeless as ever, a bead of sweat trickled down her face. The pony in the chocolate puddle was held still as it solidified around him. No matter how hard he struggled he could not escape.
The unicorn focused and created a spear of pure magic which she shot at Discord. He stood still, awaiting the bolt and when it nearly reached him he whipped his head around and caught it in his teeth. The unicorn took a step back as Discord looked at her, blue sparks shooting from his mouth as he clamped down on the spear.
"Look what I caught!" He mumbled around spear, crunching down and breaking it, where it fizzled off into nothing. "You two aren't even close to my level of power, spend the rest of your days regretting this" He clicked his tongue and two ponies disappeared and reappeared as two grey frogs who croaked at each other before hopping off the way they had come
Discord laughed softly and turned to the pony who was staring at him in awe.
"Lord Discord. It was an honour to watch you fight" He gushed, bowing low once again
"Oh stop that already, while it is nice to be recognised as the god I am for a change, I'm not one for fawning."
The pony stood back up "Of course Lord. May I ask what you are doing away from the barracks then, Sir?"
Discord waved his paw "It would take to long to explain, why don't you take me there. I'm interested to see what has been made of this world where the ponies answer to me. Oh and I suppose you have a name?"
The pony nodded and walked the same way he was previously going with Discord following him "My name is Neon, Sir. I am a private in your army Sir. My squad was ambushed on a patrol and everyone was cut down apart from me and those two...things"
Discord stroked his chin thoughtfully, ice skating alongside Neon "And what are those...things. And don't bother asking why I don't know, it won't get either of us anywhere."
Neon looked surprised but carried on anyway "Very well Sir. They were once ponies who used to live happily under your rule. Once the two Sisters returned it all changed." He spat the word out "They preached of Harmony and Order, but what they really did was cut out all of a ponies emotions and free will and filled them with emptiness. Some fools rebelled against you and joined their cause, becoming Priests of Order. The rest were all forced into becoming those slaves and then pit against their friends. Everybody knows that Chaos is vital for life, but they seek to stamp it out and enforce Order and create a 'utopia' society. It sickens me!"
Discord furrowed his eyebrows. While it did seem like this world was far more messed up than his, it seemed to be a primarily chaos governed society.
Perfect!
Discord pointed his claw forward dramatically "Then let us go forth to the barracks and meet myself!"
Neon stared up at him again, confused
Discord sighed "Again, It would take too long to explain."
Discord smiled to himself. He wasn't sure if it was just because it was the first time someone regarded him as a hero, but he was starting to like this kid
A white magic spiraled out of the air, it was filthy with brown and black smudges and expand outwards. The dirty light took the form of a small Alicorn before it dripped of the mechanical pony that now stood there. The eyes whirred and the shutter on the left eye zoomed out, giving it a broader view. The colour of the eyes flickered and changed to red as it scanned the ground
"IMPRINTS IDENTIFIED. SCANNING FOR FURTHER DETAILS." It intoned moving creakily to examine the entire area. "IMPRINTS ARRIVING HERE...3. IMPRINTS LEAVING....4. TARGET HAS LEFT THE AREA. SCANNING. LOGIC PROCESSING. TARGET UPDATE. TARGET IS UNLIKELY TO BE A FROG. LOGIC PROCESSING. TARGET MUST HAVE LEFT WITH [IDENTITY UNKNOWN]. OBJECTIVE UPDATED. OBJECTIVE: PURSUE TARGET AND [IDENTITY UNKNOWN]."
The robot sparked and stopped for a second lights dimming. Just as the orange light nearly vanished another spark shot of the tail and the robot stood straight again, lights returning to normal. It took a step, joints screeching before following with the other leg. It slowly but surely began to follow the two imprints that lead it away from the clearing
You may have noticed but I have moved the time back 12 hours to fit better with the story, the change has also been applied to the other chapters

It took them slightly over an hour to finally reach the camp.
Neon and Discord stood in the treeline and looked down at the rows and rows of tents that littered the valley. Just below them was a thin barrier that separated them from the tents. It glowed brilliantly in a spectrum of colours, although it was hard to tell if it was the barrier or the tents underneath. At the very centre was a circus tent that was splashed a deep purple and had prints of an orange spiral on all sides. At the very tip was a crows nest which could provide survey of the whole camp, although it was empty at the moment.
Discord stroked his chin thoughtfully "So how do we get in?" He asked, looking down at Neon
Neon raised one eyebrow "But Sir, this is your shield..."
Discord waved his paw back and forth "Of course it is. Now lets see."
With that he walked down the where the barrier exited the floor and rose off, over the camp. He crouched down and placed a claw on the barrier. Just as the talons were about to touch it, it dissolved, moving away from his claw. He shrugged and stood back up and turned around to Neon who looked relieved and walked over to him.
Together they walked down where the barrier shimmered and retracted, allowing the two entry. As soon as Discord came below the barrier there was a great roar that spread throughout the camp. Thousands of ponies left their tents screaming as Discord approached the first tents. Many were colts and fillies, with a mare shepherding one or two each. The speed at which the message spread was far to fast to be natural
All in all, Discord felt pretty normal having ponies flee in terror again when he came to visit.
Neon looked around nervously as the area quickly became empty, all that was left was half destroyed tents and odd materials sticking out of them through holes.
Discord coughed "Well that escalated quickly"
A horn blew out through the camp, echoing from the circus tent in the middle. A sharp wind started to blow, ruffling Discords fur and forcing Neon to cover his eyes with one hoof and crouch a bit to resist being blown away.
Discord rolled his eyes and snapped, an invisible barrier forming around them and canceling out the wind. The roar of the gale increased and channel ripped itself through the broken tents, scattering them to each side. A stampede of hoof steps came towards them as a squad charged down the new path that was created, spears, swords, shields, bows and a few gardening tools as well being wielded. The guards were wearing the typical canterlot armour he had seen in his own world, except they were all the most ridiculous colours ever. Needless to say he loved it
They lined up in formation, all weapons pointed at the two intruders, one of which was hiding behind the tall one
On the wind came a small whistle. The whistle moved around before ending in front of the guards where Discord appeared in a tightly condensed whirlwind. The wind slowed and settled down, so all the was left was Discord glaring at a giggling Discord with a Neon freaking out behind, staring at the guards surrounding the other Discord
The Discord standing in front of the guards looked similar, but at the same time, completely different. This Discord held himself up straight, none of the slouching Discord had. His right eye was closed shut, a jagged scar travelling from his right temple and down to his chin. While Discords eyes were alive with mischievousness this Discord was completely serious, and glared hard at Discord with his single eye.
He lifted his claw slowly and pointed it at Discord. It curled inwards slightly and an orange beam shot out, stopping about 3 metres in length. The beam shattered, and what was left was a huge dark orange greatsword. It was made from an unidentifiable metal that took the form of a giant slightly curved sword with a serrated edge. Engraved into the metal was a giant eye that stared outwards. Glowing lines of of red flowed down the sword to the tip
"Ohh! That's a neat trick!" Discord chuckled and flicked the end of the sword with a talon.
The other Discord glared at him and pulled it back, one hand holding the massive sword across his body "What are you? Some foul imitation creature of Order?" He asked
Discord vanished and reappeared with his arm around the other Discords shoulder "I'm not an imitation, with Order or, most importantly, foul. I am Discord, god of Chaos!"
The other Discord threw him off and pointed the sword back at him "Cease this nonsense. Or Insanity shall strike you down!"
Discord yawned "And that's very threatening, let me assure you. Now, while I'm quaking in my boots, perhaps you would be so kind as to hear me out before chopping my head off?"
The other Discord nodded his head, but still held the sword up to his throat
Discord smiled "I am you, but at the same time not you. Understand" A shake of the head told him no. "Well to put it in simple terms, which I probably should have used to tell little Neon here earlier, is that I'm from a different universe."
He waited for a reaction. All he got was a raised eyebrow.
He coughed "Well, long story short, I'm here to cause Chaos! Think about it! With the power from two of us, we could rule the world! Wonderful chaos would be seen in all the lands! Mountains will soar through the sky as foxes go 'Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!'"
The other Discord grinned, his teeth appearing sharp fangs. He opened his claw and the blade fell to the sword and shattered into nothing "Really? If this is true, then maybe we can win this war once and for all! Together we should be able to easily overpower the Sisters!"
All the guards relaxed and began smiling as well, pushing each other lightly. Neon let out a breath he had been holding.
"We're going to need different names or this is going to be confusing as Tartarus" Discord thought aloud
The other Discord nodded "Very well, I am Lord Discord."
Discord growled "How come you get to be Lord?"
Lord Discord rolled his eyes "Who's world is this? Who is the Lord of Ponies?"
Discord blinked "Wait, I thought you had just brainwashed all of these ponies. You're the actual leader?"
"Of course. They are my subjects. I protect them from all harm and make sure their lives are filled with joy and friendship. Not the mindless and emotionally dead creatures under Order." Lord Discord replied
Discord chuckled "You and me live very different lives, my friend."
Lord Discord eyed Discord dubiously "I see...Well, moving on to other matters, with this advantage, we should attack as soon as possible. Together Discord, we could crush Order and re install Chaos into ponies lives. And Neon, for finding Discord and bringing him here, I promote you to Squad Leader, I'll assign your new squad back in the Command Tent later. Collect your red armour then as well."
Neon didn't have a chance to even smile as he was tackled by all the other soldiers in celebration. He disappeared under a cloud of dust that traveled back towards the tents, his head poking out occasionally, gasping for breath
Discord folded his arms "I don't remember agreeing to do work"
Lord Discord turned back to him angrily "You won't help me? I thought your goal was to spread Chaos!? How can you do that with the two Sisters around? Together they don't stand a chance, it's your best chance for getting rid of them."
Discord checked his talons "Or I could move on to a less dangerous world?" He suggested
Lord Discord growled "Don't you care what happens to all the ponies here? They need us!"
Discord laughed in his face "And what makes you think I care!?"
Lord Discord closed his eye "Aren't you at least enemies with the Sisters in your world?"
Discord brightened up "Ah, now we're moving in a positive direction! Revenge. Yes, that could work. But only if I fight Celestia"
Lord Discord frowned "They have individual names?" Seeing the confused look on Discords face he continued "In our world they look and act the same. Both Alicorns. Both with grey with darker hair. White circle cutie-mark. About so height" He said, holding his paw slightly taller than Luna was in Discords world.
"I guess it doesn't matter then." Discord replied
Lord Discord nodded "Good. I'll discuss this with my captains later but I'll tell you the plan basics now. The Sisters don't like to risk themselves unless it's necessary, and will use their slaves as cannon fodder. We'll have to devastate their army before fighting them. Do you think you're up to wreaking havoc on an army and then fighting a god?" He asked, smirking
Discord raised his claw and they did a bro fist. "Sounds awesome."
They turned and walked back to the tent together
"How did you lose the eye by the way?" Discord asked
Lord Discord hummed "Last fight with one of the Sisters. Wounds from Obey are hard to heal"
Discord punched him lightly on the shoulder "You still need to show me how to do that sword thingy anyway"

You are new and fresh to this world. I think it would be best for you to begin the attack. Once a Sister appears you should be strong enough to defeat her. The other Sister will appear to help her. I will then join you. Together we should be able to easily over power the both of them. Protect my subjects as best you can during the battle. Don't worry about the army of Order, there's no cure for what's been done to them.
A simple enough plan Discord thought, cracking his knuckles. It had been far too long since he had gone on a rampage. Chaos was usually about doing the most random and funny things. He hadn't been in a proper fight since his skirmishes with Celly and Lune Lune.
The sun was blazing down, lighting up the world as it began it's descent below the horizon. Discord was currently lying down on a cloud overlooking Lord Discords army. Apparently the two Sisters had taken home in the Volcanoes, a couple days march from where ever the barracks were set. The entire Order army was assembled amongst the jagged rocks of the volcano where they lived without cover or food. Plenty died, according to Lord Discord, but the Sisters did not care, and neither did the ponies who died.
The land in front of the mountains, where the battle would take place, was know as the Fields of Ash. This was because the volcanoes filled the air with hot volcanic ash that settled on the land and stopped anything from growing. All that was left was a large open plane of grey. A bland and boring place that seemed to fit Order nicely.
Lord Discords army had prepared itself and stood in lines, ready to charge at the Volcanoes. The troops were splashed a fantastic rainbow of colours. All the front line wore the typical armour but each a different colour. Moving back you could see lighter, more maneuverable armour for archers and the occasional messenger, running through the lines. Usually Lord Discord would communicate through all their minds, but as he was in hiding at the moment that wasn't easy. Banners stood up among the soldiers. A purple background with an orange spiral. Discord shrugged, he could agree with it.
The Grey army (as they were know apparently) were shuffling out of the volcanoes. The line they formed was perfect to a centimetre. There was a perfect number that perfectly fit the size of the field and were in perfect lines. Every alternate one had a shining spear that was polished to perfection and the other alternate one had a helmet on, also polished. Since they didn't have enough spears and helmets to equip the entire army, they had gone for half and half, for better Order. They had thrown away all the other pieces of armour and weaponry. Complete morons, Discord thought.
And now the battle began, Discord thought with a yawn. Scores of Lord Discord's army charged forward, screaming battle cries such as 'FOR FREEDOM!' 'LORD DISCORD!' And possible 'FOR CHOCOLATE MILK!' which was by far his favorite.
The Grey Army trotted forward in complete synchronisation. Their eyes were unfocused and they moved without motivation, but still they came up against the chaos army. Just as the two opposing forces were about to collide, screaming at each other, Discord flicked his paw lazily.
A nearby mountain tore itself from the ground nearby and floated into the air. The battle descended into silence as the ponies watched the huge chunk of rock soar through the air towards the Grey army.
Thousands of points of grey light flared up in their army and the mountain was encased in a huge grey field of magic. Bearing down on the army, hundreds began to faint as they used up their magic to stop the mountain. Eventually it slowed to a halt over the army, barely touching a few of the larger grey ponies. Fractures suddenly appeared and the mountain exploded outwards, to the sides of the army. Standing at the centre of the explosion was a grey mare with grey stripes running through her hair. Her cutie mark showed a grey star with a white spot in the centre
Priests of Order are ones who gave themselves willingly to Order. They are usually incredibly strong and still retain some original thought. Just be wary of them
Discord smiled a wicked smile as he looked at her dead in the eyes. Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight, or whatever she called herself now, vanished in a flash of grey light and appeared next to Discord
She spoke in a monotone voice, but it contained the bare hints of anger "Lord Discord. For your crimes against Order, I shall destroy you."
Discord smirked and stretched his arms out. He rolled his shoulders and looked back at her "You were never a match for me, even when you had your mind. And I don't think Order is very big on the whole 'friends' thing. Sooooo, you have no chance, whatsoever!" He said smugly, fitting a pair of sunglasses over his eyes and enjoying the sun.
A beautifully designed grey spear hung over Discord. A dragon twisted its way down its length, ending with its mouth opened and a lethal point stuck out. Twilight glared and the spear fell with a slice. Discord looked at Twilight and opened his mouth. He reached towards her, but words failed him as blood filled his mouth. He choked and a few drops flew out, falling to the battle below. He looked down at the spear in his chest and back to Twilight. His talons curled feebly and the light in his eyes slowly faded. Twilight looked on emotionless, before turning to regard the battle
On a sunbed in front of her lay Discord with a mirror, shinning the rays back up under his chin. "Did you really think it would be that easy? Shame on you" Shaking his head.
He clicked his talons, and five shards of chaos magic appeared on all sides and plunged towards Twilight. A grey barrier arose, holding back all the points. Sweat began to trickle down her face as the shards pushed harder and harder, sparks flying off in all directions as they screeched against the shield.
Discord waved "Wait here for a bit, someone I like is in trouble. Don't worry, I'll deal with you later"
Twilight could do nothing but snarl as she focused again on keeping the five points of orange light away from her.
Neon gasped for breath. Just as the spear began to fall from his hooves another grey pegasus appeared and tried to headbutt him with his helmet. Neon grunted and raised the spear just in time to catch the brunt of the attack, although his spear snapped in half and he fell backwards. Sticking the useless end into the ground, he leaned on it, and held the the other half with a spear tip towards the pegasus.
The pegasus charged forwards again and received weary resistance from Neon who was sent flying backwards. He shakily stood to his hooves. Both parts of the spear missing. He was all alone in a small circle. The pegasus blankly walked over to him and punched him straight in the face. Blood dripped from his nose and small cuts and the pegasus pulled back to do it again. Suddenly he was catapulted backwards, flying way over the Grey army with his wings tied up in spider silk.
Discord sat down in a comfortable armchair next to Neon and looked at him over a pair of reading glasses. "Now now Neon. I can't let anything bad happen to my fans, can I?" He asked with a wink
Neon smiled through the bruises on his face back at Discord. "Thank you, Lord Discord" He spat out
As Neon rested Discord took a quick look around the battlefield. What the Chaos army lacked in numbers, they made up for in vigor and individual thought.
Discord stroked his chin. He supposed they could do with a bit of help
Rising off the ground with a few flaps of his wings he looked down. Most of the magic users on the Grey army side had been rendered unconscious or extremely weak after his trick with the mountain.
He put two talons to his mouth and blew through them. A storm exploded outwards and whipped out over the grey army. Pegasus caught in the air fell to the floor as lightning shocked them and crashed into their own troops. The sky quickly darkened and thunder rumbled deeply, echoing across the battlefield.
A massive bolt of lightning shot from the heavens and destroyed an entire section of the grey army. To their credit, they never broke formation and continues to fight the Chaos army as if they hadn't just lost dozens of soldiers.
"I WILL KILL YOU LORD DISCORD!" Demanded a voice that blazed with fury. Looking up, he saw Twilight floating in a bubble of grey magic with a purple tinge. It seemed that anger was showing through her perfect order look. Tut tut tut.
A bolt approached Twilight and she created a field around her that bent the lightning towards Discord instead. He twirled and narrowly avoided it, sending a ball of raging fire at her in return. She focused and a shard of ice split the ball of fire in half and impaled Discord through the shoulder. Discord causally pulled it out before throwing it back. On it's way it grew thirty times in size so it completely eclipsed her.
She teleported right behind Discord and tried to stab him again with the grey spear. He split in the middle and reformed behind her, bringing a fist covered in rock down.
Twilight's shield reacted to the fist and the rock exploded around it and the fist was stopped. Twilight was shaking by now, unable to keep up with the almost inexhaustible chaos magic Discord had at his disposal. Screwing with Twilight was SO much fun! Even if this wasn't the Twilight who first imprisoned him. Oh well.
The spear swung back around and Discord matrix style avoided it, whipping back up with an uppercut that crunched against the shield. The grey began to leak out of it as Twilight focused on using more and more power to defeating Discord.
She stamped on the ground and runes burnt along the ground and surrounded Discord. A circle arced it's way in a circle to encompass Discord and complex signs carved themselves into the ground to surround the circle. Lines crossed inwards and glowed orange. Discord looked up and raised one eyebrow
A massive torrent of flames shot upwards. The heat burned mercilessly and fire overflowed against Twilight's barrier. The twisting tornado of flames continued for 5 seconds as Twilight dedicated the last of her strength to protecting herself against the roaring flames she had created.
It stopped suddenly. The world a dark place after the harsh light. Twilight glared at the fresh ashes that scattered the land, a purple strand of hair hung down her face.
"NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MAGIC!" Called a voice behind her.
In disbelief she turned and saw Discord wolf whistle and clap his hands, nudging Neon who was staring in shock and had not yet reacted to Discords presence. When he was bumped by Discord he screamed and fell over backwards
"Twilight! Why have you never used magic like this before!? If you're as strong as my world you would rival most gods in terms of sheer power! Shame you had to come against me, I don't play fair." He said with a smirk, hopping over to Twilight who could barely stand.
"I...will...kill...." Twilight stuttered, almost collapsing on the spot.
Discord tapped her on the head "Now now Twilight. Sleepy time is here." And with that her eyes rolled back and she fell unconscious.
Giggling, he looked to the volcano, barely visible through the storm clouds that were wreaking havoc on the Grey army. A powerful Grey light exploded out of the top of the volcano and flaming rocks plummeted towards the battlefield. A mysterious grey form rocketed out of the top and disappeared into the clouds, and flew high above them. Discord shrugged and cracked his neck. Time for the real battle
The grey light twirled in the air, and shot over the fighting ponies. It glowed for a second and small balls of grey energy rained down on them.
The first orb collided with the ground where a small group of two forces were clashing. It detonated violently, grey flames rolling out and smothering ponies indiscriminately. As the light slowly faded, all that was left was a new circle of ash.
Dozens began falling, quickly shooting out from the grey light at it's centre and towards the battlefield.
Discord sighed, while he liked these ponies that revered him as a god, it would take effort to stop these bomb thingies. Oh well, at least Lord Discord had asked him nicely, it was easier to take instructions from himself.
Discord stamped on the ground and a spectrum of light exploded out of a small crack in the ground. It expanded out like a spider web and covered the battlefield where the majority of Lord Discord's soldiers were. The barrier stuck in mid air and absorbed the onslaught of orbs from the Sister. It glowed orange in places where the deadly balls of light connected, but resisted the attack completely.
The glowing shield radiated a vibrant array of colours and faded away once the danger had passed.
A shriek erupted from the grey light and two beams appeared and scanned the battlefield. They shined down in two circles and crossed over all the troops without stopping. They crisscrossed and eventually made out the form of Discord, where they both focused in. Discord stood in the light and flexed his muscles, giving one of them a quick kiss.
The light heated up and Discord stepped neatly to one side as the beam burnt it's way into the ground.
Discord looked down at Neon and pointed down at Twilight "Take her prisoner or whatever the Tartarus we do and get out of here. It's gonna get messy."
Neon managed a weak salute "Of course Discord Sir!" He then whistled and a few ponies in hot pink armour came over and gently lifted Twilight away while Neon followed, issuing the occasional order
Discord nodded and teleported
It looked very similar to Luna, except bigger. About halfway in size between Luna and Celestia. It's mane was strands of darker grey hair coming straight down either side and slightly past its head, and it's tail was straight hair that flowed out behind her. It had wings and a horn, both of which were grey. Discord was starting to see a theme about the greyness here
It's eyes were completely white and glared at Discord. It's cutie mark was a white dot surround by a circle of darkness.
Discord stroked his chin for a few seconds before shrugging "Meh, not really scary"
The Sister howled "YOU'RE TIME IS UP CHAOS! ORDER SHALL REIGN SUPREME!"
Discord yawned "Sure, whatever creepy Alicorn thingy. Hey, you Celestia or Luna?" He asked
The Sister froze "No one has said those names in over 50,000 years. And where is your scar? How could you have healed from Obey so quickly? You should have nowhere near this level of power after fighting for so many years..." A small tremor ran down it's body "What are you?" It asked with, dare he say it, fear.
Discord grinned "I'm the Doctor!
No wait! Wrong fandom! I meant Discord!" He recovered, wiping away a bead of sweat
The Sister growled "You must be weak, showing off like this and using all your power to seem recovered to bluff your way out of a fight"
Discord disappeared with a twinkle "Wrong choice"
The Sister glanced around, trying to spot Discord position. It glanced up to see a Discord smile and wave cheerfully.
The Sister focused and built up a charge of magic in it's horn. Grey magic crackled and small flares sparked out as it fueled it's attack. It pointed it's horn at Discord and looked to see it's rivals final moments.
Discord tapped his foot in mid air and pointed to it's right. Quickly glancing that way with one eye it saw a huge wall of rock before looking back at Discord.
It's eyes widened and it turned just as the mountain crashed into it from the side. They traveled a short distance before It released it's charge, and cracks spread throughout the mountain. Fissures ran their way across the surface as the huge mound of rock slowly split apart, chunks falling to the floor below.
The mountain fell away to reveal an Alicorn snarling, covered in patches of dust and dirt. Grey light appeared beside it as a small vortex. The magic fell away and what was left was a spear similar to Twilights, except larger and with more runes carved into dragon.
"Prepare to feel Obey destroy you!" It said calmly, rushing at Discord
Discord ducked under a swing from Obey and felt a harsh burn. After coming up he reached a hand over the top of his head where his skin was tender. Focusing his magic the feeling went away
Discord tutted "Now that's a dangerous spear. You should put it down before someone get's hurt."
The Sister frowned "Why have you not summoned Insanity?" It asked confused
Discord flapped his wings and a gust of wind went slicing at the Sister. It stayed it's ground, small cuts appearing and vanishing in a split second. It threw Obey at Discord who stopped flapping to strafe left and breathe out a cloud of billowing fire.
The Sister cut through the flames with Obey which had materialised again and sliced at Discord. Discord blocked with a wall of stone he had broken off from the mountain and pushed it against the Sister. It screamed and punched the wall with it's spare hoof, shattering it. The hoof collided with a chocolate clone of Discord and got stuck there as Discord struck with a shard of pure Chaos.
The shard crashed into a grey barrier and was halted as the shield flashed around the Sister.
Blowing up the clone with energy through her hoof she cut through the shard with Obey where it turned black and withered away into nothing. She stabbed again at Discord who quickly formed a portal in front of him. The point of the spear traveled into the portal and re-appeared a small distance away, out of another portal.
Discord snapped his claws and a hail of icicles fell onto the Sister. Her barrier reacted and withstood the barrage of ice, but sapped her strength. She withdrew the point and tried stabbing again. Discord teleported and appeared behind her with a lightning charged fist that smashed into the barrier, arcs of electricity spread along the barrier and sank into it and key points. The barrier stood for a moment before shattering as the lightning destroyed the key points.
Obey whipped around and it's spear head barely missed Discords arm. He hovered away, hissing as he held his arm with the other. The Sister charged and tried to stab into him, but Discord sank to the ground below, dodging the spear.
The sister followed him to the ground where Discord waited patiently, the burn across his arm recovered.
It landed hard, cracks spreading away from it's location. It looked up and huge torrent of earth chunks came crashing into it from Discord's location. It lifted up the ground in front of it as a shield, and used the cover to teleport behind Discord with him unaware
When it arrived Discord was faced away from it. The sister plunged Obey into earth. Grey light glowed under Discords position and ripped it's way upwards.
Discord grunted as the beam sent him flying away, burns covering his body and arms where he protected his head.
The Sisters eyes gleamed and shot forward, Obey held in front of it. Discord held up his multicoloured barrier and halted Obey. Sparks flashed as Obey scraped against the barrier. Discord held his paw up and the barrier continued to stand. A small smile appeared and two shards of chaos slowly faded into existence behind it.
It stared at him with malice, intent on tearing through the shield and destroying him. The two shards rotated and plunged downwards
The Sister screeched an ungodly sound as the two shards buried into her back. Half of the shards was above the surface, with the rest buried into her. A small patch around the two shards glowed as the fur turned dark blue. One of the shards area of effect included the top part of it's cutie mark, where it vanished and was replaced with a splash of black and the top half of a moon
Obey shattered as the Sister fell back, a horrendous scream echoing forth.
She reached around and pulled the two shards out with her own hooves, even though colour started to return to them as well. She finished pulling them out and threw them away, where they withered away. Grey slowly crept over the blue patches and returned the Sister back to her grey self
"SISTER! HELP ME!" She shouted, her words so powerful that they pushed Discord back with sheer loudness
Another grey light exited from the top of the volcano and rocketed towards Discord. A roar followed the light as it went straight for Discord, Submit pointed forwards. It came so fast that Discord had barely any time to react as Submit went straight for his forehead
From the left came the orange Insanity and blocked Submit. The other Sister hopped away after it's failed attack to stand by it's sister and rested a wing on it.
Magic traveled through it so they were both as strong as each other and healed the first Sister. They looked in disbelief as Lord Discord stood next to Discord, who now had an even smugger grin on his face.
The Sisters spoke as one "What is this?" They asked, confused
Lord Discord smiled "This is your end!" He answered
They readied their weapons. From one side Obey and Submit were raised. On the other was Insanity and a glass of chocolate milk
Obey came crashing down onto Lord Discord, who quickly raised Insanity to block the strike. The other Sister, Celestia, attempted to impale Discord with Submit. Discord hopped backwards, the point brushing against his chest leaving a faint scar.
Lord Discord and Luna grunted as they struggled for control, each pushing against the other. Luna was forced back a step by Lord Discord who grinned in excitement. Discord growled in anger and lifted up the ground around them. Celestia paused her attack to recover her balance
Luna used the disturbance to throw Lord Discord off her and struck back with Obey. Lord Discord blocked with Insanity and swung it around in a vicious cut. They exchanged blows as Discord and Celestia danced around them, with Discord rolling and dodging as Celestia came after him with Submit. He went to edge of the small plate of rock they were floating on and turned around, arms raised into the air in surrender.
Celestia lunged forward, where Discord disappeared with a golden twinkle. Celestia let out a small shriek and quickly spread her wings to recover in the air. Discord appeared above her and came crashing down, elbow first onto her back. She bucked and Discord flew off and crashed into Lord Discord who was just about to slip past Luna's defenses. They rolled along the floating earth together before jumping up with Lord Discord carefully balanced on Discords shoulder.
Lord Discord pointed forwards with Insanity "CHARGE" He cried and Discord ran towards the confused Sisters. Lord Discord swung down at Celestia who bounced his attack away with Submit but couldn't avoid the shards of chaos that scratched her face formed by Discord. A splash of white coated her face as the grey temporarily retreated. She grunted and faced away as Luna jumped at the two.
Luna dragged Obey up from the ground to slice them in two but was blocked by Discords lizard foot. He clenched his teeth in pain as grey slowly began to leak up his foot. Lord Discord used to opportunity to slash downwards and cause a jagged scar to carve itself down her left eye to her cheek before leaving her face.
Luna fell back screaming and Discord barked out with laughter "HA! An eye for an eye!" He announced proudly. It lasted a moment before Discord lost his balance on his damaged foot and they both fell over. While they tried to untangle themselves from each other the Sisters backed away to the far end of the floating landmass. Celestia looked at Luna who looked back with her left eye closed shut, a scar running through it. They nodded.
They lifted up their identical weapons and put them together. They glowed grey and a huge ball of magic shot out, flying skyward. It continued rising, until it eclipsed the sun from the battlefield. Then, it began to fall.
Instead of coming at the two Discords, it's aim was squarely on the centre of the battlefield.
Lord Discord threw Discord to the side as he rushed forward, and was blocked by twin stabs from Obey and Submit. He was forced to bring the great sword around to block the two weapons and hold it there
Discord growled "You can't do this! Leave them out of this!" He demanded, fury etched onto his face
The two Sisters regarded him coldly "Then go save them" They said lifelessly and moved away. Lord Discord swan dived off the platform and angled his decent to collide with the grey orb.
Discord looked down with interest and slurped on the glass of chocolate milk. A small screen materialised in front of him and Lord Discords face appeared. The eye stared into Discords mismatched pupils
"Help me Discord! We have to stop it before it hits the ground!" Lord Discord shouted over the wind,
Discord stroked his beard with his paw "But for that I would first have to care about the ponies down there." He frowned "You can see my problem here."
Lord Discord's eyebrows furrowed and he glared back "You heartless monster! What about all their lives!?"
Discord shrugged "I'm rather enjoying being at full power, wouldn't want to waste it stopping a simple grey ball, now would I?" He smirked
Lord Discord closed his eye and breathed deep. Cancelling the communication he looked back to the ball of destructive Order magic. He skirted around until he was below it and looked up. He put Insanity up and forced it into the spell. He grunted and forced it further, even as Order magic leaked past and burned him. Finally, Insanity reached the centre and the orb detonated midair, far above the battlefield and saving all the ponies below, but consuming him entirely.
The Sisters looked at Discord and tilted their heads sideways slightly
"Why is the clone still here?"
Discord snorted "Is that what you think I am? I'm afraid you've chosen wrong, again. Now, I reckon that's about it for you two, so I'm going to wrap this up nice and simple. First of all, all this Order businesses is so....boring. I'm going to burn it out of you two." He said, a malicious glint entering his eye
The two Sisters frowned "How is this possible?"
Discord snapped his talons and they were surrounded on all sides by shards of chaos. Luna closed her eye in concentration and a faint image of Order appeared, but faded away after a few seconds.
"I know these shards aren't quite as elegant as the sword of my dear friend down there, but I'm afraid it's going to have to do."
He turned around, and the shards shot forwards. A grey barrier formed over the Sisters and began absorbing the missiles. For the first few seconds it held strong, glowing a strong grey. Then patches began to wither and turn black. Soon enough it was a ball of pure darkness before it shattered, leaving only a black mist that hid the two forms as more shards rushed in.
Discord winced "That's gotta hurt!"
The smoke slowly dissipated to show a white Alicorn curled protectively around a dark blue one. Discord pretended to gag at the show of affection.
Celestia's eye flickered and slowly opened, staring straight at Discord. He grinned and swaggered over to the two defeated Sisters. He leaned down and cupped his paws around his ear, putting it close to her mouth
"...T...Thank you...fo....for freeing....us" She whispered, before falling unconscious.
Discord stood up and looked down in disgust "Idiot. I didn't do it for you"
He lifted up his now healed lizard foot and placed it on Celestia's body. He lifted his two arms and curled them inwards as the floating patch of earth descended to the ground. A cheer flowed through the crowd as Discord came into view, standing victoriously over the defeated Sisters. All the grey ponies lay down, comatose.They were forgotten for now as their hero descended.
"Where is Lord Discord?" A pony asked
The cheers slowly faded away as they began to whisper among each other. They all looked at Discord for answers
Discord lifted a talon and wiped away a tear from one eye "I'm afraid Lord Discord is no longer with us. He gave his life so I might stop the Sisters from destroying us all. While this is a time for sorrow for all those who were lost, it is also the time for celebration. We are free to live our wonderful lives, full of excitement and joy. Without oppressive order, chaos can run free-"
"SHUT UP!"
All the ponies gasped and looked behind them. Coming over a small hill was a scorched Discord. He limped forward, Insanity dragged along the floor behind. Ash covered him from head to toe and his hair was pushed back away from his body. The one eye glowed bright red with pure hatred.
Discord squealed and clapped his hands together "OH DISKY! YOU'RE ALIVE!"
Lord Discord made his way through a channel in the crowd "Don't give me that crap!"
Discord smirked "Very well."
Lord Discord breathed heavily as he approached Discord. Discord watched with faint amusement as Lord Discord raised his sword weakly, holding it to Discords neck. Discord touched the tip of the sword with his paw and gently pushed it away
"Get out of my world" Lord Discord demanded, panting
Discord created a small orange shard and balanced it one a talon "Now why would I do that?"
Lord Discord growled "I will fight you"
Discord waited a moment before yawning "I don't think you really convinced anyone there.
However, now that this world is mine, I've lost interest. Sure I could take control and run the world into the ground, but I'd rather see others. But on one condition, how do I get that awesome sword?"
Lord Discord sighed and leaned on Insanity heavily, the tip buried into the ground. "Find something worth fighting for, something you love. That is when Insanity first came to me."
Discord frowned "I love chaos and chocolate milk"
"No, you like chaos and chocolate milk. You can't love something, you can only truly love another being, one that can love you back. For me, that was my subjects. Protecting them is what I live for, so I was armed to defend them."
"What about the two Sisters? I'm pretty sure order doesn't go well with love" Discord challenged
"It was their love for each other that gave them strength, protecting each other, even when consumed by Order."
"Bah! I don't buy it. Love is the greatest weakness! You proved that when you nearly killed yourself!"
Lord Discord looked at him with that hated look Celestia would always do, pity
"Then your life must be a lonely and dark one. Just go, before you do anymore damage to my world"
Discord spat "And I thought chaos was supposed to be fun. I hope the other me's aren't as sappy and pathetic as you are!"
Discord, mouth turned sharply down, lifted his claw and snapped. A sliver rift split the air and Discord stepped in, giving Lord Discord one last disgusted look. Lord Discord looked back calmly and lifted his claw, with only one talon up
