What if Discord never ate the reforming spell Twilight was going to use on him as a last resort? What would happen to the Spirit of Chaos when a spell forcibly changes him to what the ponies' morality consider good to be? Nothing good, that's for sure. Or rather, nothing bad, according to the new Discord the spell creates.

Oh, this... this is rather interesting.

Man, instant like and fave.

And let the creepy times begin!

Nicely done, chief!

~Skeeter The Lurker

best rainbowbob fic ever

I almost expected to see Twilight snap out of it, a split-second before casting the spell, and to have the whole thing be Discord giving her a lecture on unintended consequences. Right before turning her mane into snakes that sang showtunes.

But alas, I was wrong :rainbowwild:

YES, wonderful

that is creepy as fuck man............... i like it.

But dude that was creepy i thing i pee myself there.

Wow. Just wow. This fic really makes you think about just how Equestria got to be such a happy place. What kind of dark secrets or methods were used to attain this peace.

Just how harmonious must harmony be?

It's funny how this is what people thought Communism was.

Then Twilight snaps out of the vision that Discord made her see and she sees how using the reforming spell would have been a terrible idea.

my god..................RainbowBob, you have created something utterly wonderful

Creepy...
I like it.

That was...incredibly disturbing and also interesting. To think purifying the very imbodiment of chaos would even be possible...wait if Discord tries to unchaos everything then he would basically we eliminating one of the fundamental forces of the unvierse. Chaos and Harmony, Yin and Yang, Good and Evil, Isfet and Ma'at, the very threads that hold the multiverse together, if Discord tried to remove the "strings" of Chaos then he will be undoing a force needed to hold the universe together...think of it like pulling half the strings from a tapestry, you're left with an unwound mess of what use to make senes.:twilightoops:

sweet Jesus that is effen wrong on soo many levels no I have solid base for agenst harmany

Chaos and harmony are like night and day; the world couldn't work as it does without one thing balancing the other. This proves it. Really crazy shit, but really well done.

That's why I hate Celestia.

jz1

This was very good. I s there any chance we can have more?

OOooooooookay....I am officially scared of Accord now.:fluttershbad:

And in a sense Discord and Harmony are one and the same, or at least two sides of the same coin, for it is our differences and our similarities that bind us together as a species, but it is also those same reasons for which we tear each other apart.:pinkiecrazy::rainbowderp::twilightoops:

Things really turned creepy and I like it. If Discord represent chaos than if you get rid of chaos the universe will try to balance things out one way or another. In this case make everything completely harmonic. It's like Yin and Yang, everyone has both and won't be quite themselves if they just had one or the other.

Twilight you cheated *pouts* celestia won't be happy

It's true what they say.

Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

This story actually conveys my thoughts when I first saw them saying reforming spell in the show. I kept thinking like, how would they reform a spirit of chaos if chaos is his entire being. What would be left of him? This story is quite well written too.

From these comments, I think maybe I shouldn't read this either terrifying or depressing fic. I love Discord but this premise is seriously intimidating when combined with what other are saying. I avoided cupcakes and was scared as shit by a slender-man crossover. Maybe I should avoid this? Would you, the author, care to shed a little light on this? I don't know what to do here.:twilightoops:

Twilight Sparkle: Putting the harm in harmony.

i just read this chapter and i can say that you shouldn't not read this. this isn't like cupcakes, it's not (and i don't think it will be) gore, it's really creepy, but psychologically speaking.

i have seen i few errors (or at least what look like errors in the eyes of a french):

it completely overwhelming his mental defenses as it defiled his very being. His conscious shivered in dread when the spell took advantage of his thoughts.

He tried to crawl away or escape, but how could he? He couldn’t leave his own mind, much less fight back against the spell that now reworking his thought process in its own image. Soon it set its sights on him directly, trapping him down as it forced itself upon his mental person.

Forgo the times of chaos, and welcome the never ending time of harmony! May harmony rule over each and every one of our lives in its immaculate glory!”

praying i didn't make you lose your time with false errors

3299091
For a Spartan you're a bit of a pussy. :rainbowkiss:

Its funny. :trollestia:

3299091
Well, I tried my best to make a psychological horror story. If you can't handle that, I'd advise to avoid reading this story.

3299164

Not criticizing you, since English isn't your main language, the first two are errors, while 'forgo' is actually a word, and used like this.

Still, you found them before I did! Good job.:moustache:

Never did like the whole concept of a 'reform' spell.

I mean, Really? You couldn't give Fluttershy her moment?:fluttercry:

Hmmmmmmmmm

Looks creepy and the psychology is pitch perfect.

Never got creeped out though:applejackunsure:

Insta-fave and like though

See Twilight? THIS is why balance is a good thing! You've upset the natural order, and now the scales have tipped over, possibly for good.

Well that little rant's over.

Good story, though I wonder how you plan to go from here?

(EDIT Huh... could have sworn that tag said incomplete when I went in? Oh well, in that case, creepy ending.)

Interesting choice on extreme, though considering the cultural definition of harmony, it rather makes sense that this was chosen for that the extreme would take. I can't say this was an enjoyable read, mostly because I could feel myself going dead inside, but I hope that was rather the point, yes?

3299456

No problem. I wasn´t planning to sleep this night anyway.:fluttershyouch:

3299091 Oh, but you should my dear spartan...be one with the darkness...embrace harmony with evil...the choice is no longer your's...

~Nightmare

3299456 will this be updating bob? its really awesome so far :D

3299776
Sorry bro, it's a oneshot.

Karma's a real bitch, ain't it?

Too bad it's a one-shot...oh well.
I always wondered what was the reforming spell.
...I'd like to forget now :twilightoops:

And that's why people get send to Azkaban when they cast a reforming spell! :trollestia:

okay, this was pretty creepy and an iitnresting what if. stilll..... well technically if he did a whole harmony thing it would reverse back into chaos again, because he is doing the same thing but not as a chaos being but as a zealot. meaning the elements of harmony would work on him as he was spreading a even worse brand of chaos; the chaos of zealotry.

Why does this remind me of Landru from Star Trek: TOS?

i was laughing throughout this. too bad twilight was so single minded in her approach she never considered the role chaos plays in maintaining harmony. or rather never knew that there are two sides to every coin.

excuse me i need to go do laundry.

And now that Discord doesn't actually exist anymore, the road is paved for some darker chaos:

As 3299918 put it: ONE MILLION YEARS IN AZKABAN!!!

One of us! One of us! One of us! One of us! :pinkiecrazy:

3299796 Aw :( and it was really interesting....

3299796
And a damn good one at that.

I'm serious Bob. This is, in my humble opinion, the best story you have ever published. And I know saying that is a cliché, but I really can't find any other words to describe it. I absolutely love this.

Good job man, good job.

The sound when a room of people blink in unison is deafening.
