In a dark room somewhere in the city of Canterlot, where only the streetlights of the city glow and where the lights of the castle shimmer at an hour this late, a stallion by the name of Night Light is bent over a desk. He's writing again, and Shining Armor - his son - wants to know why. What dark secret is his father trying so hard to hide? Or is it less complicated; is it a simple habit and nothing more? Surely his father is willing to answer... isn't he?

At the end of My Little Dashie: Fourth Time's the Charm, Brian made it to the afterlife. In the epilogue, Dashie does as well. Happy ending, end of story... right?

And yet, something seems as if it's missing. We still have so many unanswered questions. What was Dashie's life like without her father? What was "afterlife" like for Brian, and what did he do to pass the time while waiting for his little Dashie? What was the deal with Forest? How did each of Dashie's beloved friends pass away? And so much more...

With the help of research, theorizing, and educated guesses, I believe I've made a story that all fans of the My Little Dashie series can get some satisfaction out of!

I didn't receive permission to do this from ROBCakeran53 or Ponymanne215. I planned to, but I saw that ROB never does reply to those requests (Edit: Thanks for the comment ROB!) and the latter hasn't been online since 2013. So I decided it would be a lost cause. Nevertheless, I was stoked to do this!

Long ago, a great king ruled Equestria. In the type of unity only a single, benevolent ruler can provide. Now this "great" king is sealed in a cave, banished by himself. Or what was left of him, now he sits in a throne he hasn't left for millennia. alone, so... alone. He tried to not succumb to the darkness like all of his friends did before him. Little does he know, he already has.

I should also mention that this is a companion fic to "A New Game" so updates will depend on that being finished

After a failed attempt to finish a spell that his friend Star Swirl the Bearded left him after he died. Cerulean found himself cast into the void where he would spend a little over a millennia stranded until he was once again thrown into Equestria.

Now with no idea what has transpired since he left he must find his way in a new Equestria after a little over a millennia of progress and history.
