Three missing pieces, two loving alicorns, and a single stupid decision that will set young Princess Cadence on a fresh new course. Story One of the "Cadance of Cloudsdale" cycle.

Princess Cadence tries to legally change her name to "Princess Cadance." Footnotes ensue. Part of the "Cadance of Cloudsdale" cycle, and a crossover with Ghost of Heraclitus's Civil Service stories. Familiarity with neither is required.

Twilight despises chocolate milk. She hates it. Defiles it. She throws it on the ground, and spits in its puddle of calcium goodness. Chocolate milk has haunted her since her childhood, and Twilight vows to never drink it at all. She can't stand it! However... somepony in the Ponyville community dares to bring this sweet treat before her, and the innocent peace offering doesn't end very well. This is the tragic event that takes place on a summer afternoon in Ponyville.

I just figured I'd tell you my life's story before I die. Well, not my whole life, bits and pieces. It's a long one, but its worth the time. No, you don't have something else to do, you have the time, you don't have a life. I suppose that I won't either in a few days. Stupid corrupt legal system.

Actually, they're probably pretty justified in killing me.

Her changelings were starving. She was growing desperate. Murphy's law was in full effect. Queen Chrysalis was having a very bad day. Losing her toothbrush was just the beginning.

[First Person Past Tense]

So, my roommate came home from Trader Joe's with a new toothbrush. The packaging inspired the cover art and fic you see here. Go blame her for my insanity.

Princess Celestia, tired of the constant pressure that ruling a nation puts on her, decides to take a day off and let Luna take her responsibilities for a day, something the younger alicorn is more than happy to do. She disguises herself as a pink maned pegasus pony named Sunny Skies and decides to go walking around Canterlot without any supervision. Unfortunately for her, not all parts of Canterlot are as safe as the palace, and she finds herself at the wrong end of a gang of muggers, who decide to kidnap her for a ransom when they see how much money she has on her.

Luna freaks out.

Celestia thinks it's hilarious.
