A MLP FiM parody of TGWTG's 'To Boldly Flee'.

This is the sequel to my other story Equestrian Knights.

A year has passed since the events of Equestrian Knights, but now strange things are happening in Equestria. First, Prince Blueblood gets put under house arrest by an angry mare from his past, then Princess Luna shows up in his house speaking gibberish, some kind of cosmic portal is discovered in outer space, and strange 'anomalies' start appearing all over the land. After it all gets to be too much for the Prince, he once again calls upon his only friends, Trixie, Gilda, Lightning Dust, Dumbbell, Hoops, Score, Flim, Flam, Jet Set, Upper Crust, Iron Will, Surprise, and perhaps somepony else, for help. Together, they set out to figure out just what in the world is going on, and how to stop it before it’s to late. But they’ll have to be careful, because somepony out there doesn’t want them to succeed. Can our team of anti-heroes defy the odds and boldly hoof it to where no pony has hoofed it to before?

It's been a long few years for everyone in the United States. We got destroyed in war, and we are on the brink of disaster. Bombings occur daily, murders and robberies occur hourly. It's horrible, and there is absolutely no way out of it, it seems.

The government brought all eight of us to investigate some strange signals in outer space...I can't remember why, exactly, but I know that it wouldn't have helped us anyways. The eight of us were supposed to come home safe and sound. They practically guaranteed, and I should have known better. Some wormhole brought us to this magical land, and now I'm some sort of horse with wings, while the other seven are dealing with very similar issues.

A zoologist, rumored to have navigated the harshest terrains without any sort of trouble, as well as harboring keen knowledge of common wildlife and fauna.

A sociopathic scientist, who has been waiting for a moment like this his entire life.

A national hero, who was considered a leader after a stunt at Mt. Rushmore where she saved the lives of hundreds after a potential terrorist attack.

A weightlifter, who holds many records and has placed in many Iron Man competitions.

A strange competitive card player with the IQ of 173.

A traveler, who can speak very many languages, and still has the ability to learn more, and reigns supreme at understanding cultures.

Me, a pyro technician, if you'd like to call it that.

As well as some sort of schizophrenic mechanic, who is known to have made a complete army tank from absolute scratch in a matter of days.

This is about survival. The government in this strange world's searching for us. But we can't allow that. We must run, we must hide, and we must learn how to survive in a land of which none of us have ever dreamed us. This is the story of simply blending in, and getting home. Of dealing with the inner demons and braving the unknown.

This, is the story of eight.

When the rebellion overthrew the king of the Griffin Empire, everyone thought that things would be better, that there would be more food to go around, that the people themselves would have a say in politics. But that never happened. The new 'democratic' government started passing laws, small things first. No concealed weapons, no staying out on the street after one without good reason. The citizens never got their half of the bargain; they were forced to watch as the government transformed into an ironic sham of its hopes. And yet, never once did any of the council members miss a chance to say that they were only acting in the interest of the people. But for two griffins, actually trying to escape won't be the smartest, let alone the easiest option. In fact, it'll probably be one of the hardest ones out there.

So this got featured. I'm amazed, especially since it was the last story I expected to get featured.

Here goes for a story mostly devoid of canon characters and the entire canon environment in the beginning. Let's see how well this ends up faring out there. Mane six included because they come up later. This isn't like a chapter one bad place chapter two Ponyville story, for whatever that means to any of you. I've seen the whole, immediate magnet effect to Ponyville as a little clichéd.

Follow Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash as they they treck the difficult days of their Junior year in an all girl academy where they're picked for being lesbians ironic don't you think.

When Twilight is faced with the ultimate challenge, can she overcome it by discovering what greatness truly means?

Written for the Everfree Northwest "Iron Author" contest. This story finished tied for 3rd place out of 11 different stories.

Seaddle Weather Schedule: Written for the Everfree Northwest 2013 con book. Ponies don't forecast the weather, they schedule it.

After the total loss of the federal forces at Ghastly Gorge, the threat of the rebellion has suddenly become very real. The gears of the machine of the Union are now spinning solely for the purpose of a civil war—a war that they are now not entirely certain they will be able to win decisively.

Crystal Miner, a young unicorn with a strange iron band around his horn, has spent the last five years of his life working on a machine that he thinks will allow the Union Army to crush the rebellion once and for all; and, on July the second, he casually strolls into the Department of Magic and Defense, eager to show them his work of art.

Of course the Department will buy it; it's genius. Why would they reject genius? If they say no—no, he can't let that happen. He won't allow his gift to the world to be glanced over by ignorant bureaucrats as long as he is still alive. He, and it, needs—deserves to be remembered. They will buy his invention whether they like it or not—even if it means he has to march straight up to the Horseshoe Office with a fully-loaded rifle and confront the president of the Union himself.

This is a side-story to Ordo ab Chao and takes place near the end of the events of Chapter X.

Something I just couldn't get off my mind until I wrote it down. Be warned: the ponies in these battles really go off on each other. Almost exactly like it is in "Epic Rap Battles of History", except with less cursing. There's plenty of verbal bashing, though.

Vinyl Scratch is the DJ for most of these battles, and will be doing the all-caps commentary (except for the ones she's in, of course). OC tag because of slight self-insert.

I've heard that this story is better when read with someone else. You know, with each person doing one half of the rap battle?

For eons the two Alicorn sisters have ruled over the world with an iron hoof, strictly monitoring what magic is being studied and used by their unwilling subjects, having complete authority over everything. Harsh punishments await for those who dare learn from The Twelve Schools of the old magic, for even they fear its undeniable power.

Times are changing, as the fates have told, for seven ponies now defy the very dogma laid before them. Nothing shall stop them; not the sisters, not the gods themselves. Not even The Null may even hope of preventing the inevitable destiny chosen by these unlikely ponies as their own.

But as they go deeper into the conspiracies and darkness they will begin to delve into forces mere mortals were never meant to unveil.
