Blaze, a low ranking officer in the Royal Guard, starts to consider that there isn't a point to his career. His duties include watching over empty unused rooms in the Palace, or occasionally escorting the Princess to another uneventful meeting.
However, one night whilst covering for the Library Guards, Blaze stumbles across a long hidden tome. As the guard begins to read, he finally learns the truths behind events in history that he grew up learning, but never really paid much attention to. In a single night, he learns just how much Princess Celestia has sacrificed for all of Ponykind.

Cloudwalker Kingdom--A snowy far-away land inhabited by a breed of pony called Cloudwalkers. A kingdom whose king is preparing for war against Equestria, and willing to risk everything to win. For years this king has been abducting Equestria's inhabitants and forcing them to join his army, eventually brain washing them to believe in his cause. Copper Head and Spot are two such ponies, taken from their homes by monstrous wolves, but do they have what it takes to survive the king's tests? Alongside the cloudwalkers Shadowstorm and Grand Prix as well as the mysterious alicorn Kindle, Copper Head and Spot might stand a chance, and be able to save the two kingdoms from all out war.

Trixie's mind works in numbers. So, to convey what she really feels, numbers are the best way to go. She just hopes that they'll understand.

When the thousand year old remains of an armored pony are found on a field outside of the Everfree Forest, the mane six investigates. What they uncover though, makes them question what they know of the events surrounding Nightmare Moon's rise and fall. More importantly, their discoveries also force them to answer a vital question:

Celestia sends Twilight a very special book that contains some of the oldest and most powerful magics known to ponykind. Included in the book is the way by which alicorns are created. Twilight visits her teacher in Canterlot to learn more, but gets much, much more than she bargained for.

I wasn't really sure what to tag this story. I chose the adventure tag because I see this story as an intellectual adventure for Twilight. Let me know if you think it should be something else and I'll change it.

Hearth's Warming is a time for friends and family to come together, celebrate harmony, and welcome the new year. Nyx is looking forward to just this as she rides the train to Canterlot with Spike and Twilight. She's going to meet her extended family for the first time and wants nothing more than to make a good impression. Yet, the sheen of the holidays can't hide the trouble caused by meddling grandparents, relentless reporters, and a paranoid uncle.

You'd think that being trapped in stone would mean that, if nothing else, I could get some peace and quiet. Unfortunately, it seems that Celestia has other ideas.

She has appointed these ponies... these 'Keepers', as she calls them, to keep me entertained during my incarceration.
