This story took me around 18 hours straight to read. Meaning I read this for 18 hours straight. I loved every bit of this story on Google Docs, so I will do my part and like and favorite this story to help the cause of getting this story to the Feature Box.

For all the controversy around this fic, I personally find it quite enjoyable.

I've never read this fic.

I read a lot about how much people seem to hate it.

And about how much people seem to love it.

So what's up with that?

Dear lord...she's cute...too cute...

The original version of this story is without doubt the most beautiful work of pony-related prose I've ever read. I had to read through the whole latter half of it in one sitting it was that captivating. I felt emotions I haven't felt in years afterwards. (I'm a cold, passionless monster, so that you moved me to tears multiple times speaks volumes about the sheer emotional charge that this story creates.)

It starts out as a wonderful slice-of-life-esque story centred on the adorable Nyx. The tension rises inexorably as she slowly but surely discovers who she really is. Chapter 10 is definitely the turning point in the story and is one of the most heartbreaking things I've read in a long time. Everything succeeding that is a perfectly executed drama with plenty of mystery and mayhem to keep you glued to the story. At the end of it all, you won't look at Nightmare Moon in quite the same way ever again.

That this story is now on FIMFiction, having been rewritten and improved, is momentous indeed. Let Commentgeddon begin.

Nah. It's good, but no fic can beat On a Cross and Arrow. That fic is perfection. This one is very well-written, but it doesn't have a canon feel to it like Cross and Arrow does.

PS: OH COME ON! After putting off reading this for over a year because it was so long, just last week I finally got around to reading it on EQD, and NOW it gets posted on FiMfiction.

One of my favorite fics, and absolutely one the fandom's best. Glad to finally see it here, and I'll be re-reading it one of these days.

And here is finally the fic on Fimfiction; the fic that single-handedly changed my mind to write a romance instead of a Nightmare Moon re-imagining. Why? Because this thing is so obnoxiously popular almost every attempt to elaborate on or flesh out Nightmare Moon has been pooped on or largely ignored.

At least this story has an OC that didn't fade away to obscurity.

here it is ladies and gentlemen the fanfic that got me into  ponyfic ( well antipodes) but THIS   is the one i made people read.  and By  people i mean i literally got  eleven different people to read this story. they all loved it .

and haters gonna hate, but  NYX IS BEST PONY. there I said it. Deal with it.

AND SO IT HAS COME TO PASS...THE NEXT GREAT STORY POST OF OUR ERA...

Oh, I remember this. T'was a fun read, despite its problems. Still, never did quite understand the enthusiasm, and I'm talking about both its fans hyping it and its detractors slating it.

But you can't say it wasn't memorable.

I really hope this is the last time this damn thing gets revised though.
