This story is a sequel to The Cutie Re-Mark: The Ultimate Enemy
Months after Spike's evil self was defeated and his future averted (for now), Equestria has found itself at peace once more from the forces of darkness. However, Spike still feels uneasy because of his fear of the future that will cause him to indeed become him because of what the Future versions of Starswirl and Chrysalis said.
However, both the girls and Spike must now put their fears aside and face not only the darkness that will come, but be ready for the challenges they will face in their future.

I read the previous book and now reading the Sequel. This book is great. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Discord could say something like " It was easy for you to forgive Luna and she tried to kill you when she was a villain, while all I did was turning you against each other. And your all annoyed whenever I was around. But when Luna was around you all were like {Hey, it's Princess Luna.}"
Again, I am pretty sure Dark Spike would sympathize with Luna due to the circumstances.
Luna fell into darkness due to the ponies and Celestia screwing up badly and Luna ended up suffering till she snapped.
Hell, the whole "lets not help Twilight to teach her" and the retirement crap is solely on Celestia. Luna wanted to help like in the season 3 premiere but Celestia prevented her for the sake of "testing" Twilight.
Luna only retired due to not wanting to be separated from Celestia. So Celestia basically screwed Luna over big time with this whole "successor" crap

Once again everything is going according to Dark Spike's plan.

Honestly I hated that finale a bunch due to how Spike got robbed big time(HE was the who befriended Thorax, not Starlight. The writers having Starlight get full credit for the changeling reforming made it worse. I like Starlight but her getting moments/stuff that should have been Spike's pisses me off).
That and the fact Luna got captured too despite its her domain(the night) and the fact she is robbed of the chance of redeeming herself for not being there for Celestia when the buggos attacked Canterlot. Her chance is gone now due to she was captured and now the changelings reformed.

Same here. Despite the fact that the changelings technically saw Spike as a main character, and not Starlight, it was poor that Spike didn't get any credit for it, just like how he was the underdog and inspiration to both "Return of Harmony" and "Magical Mystery Cure".

Because the ponies tried to force their way of life onto every other races, such as having you shove down your instinctual desires instead of controlling them for the greater good. If anything, those ponies are hypocritical, in everything they preach. Maybe not all of them, but most of them for sure. If a few decades of peace makes you lazy, proud and arrogant about that, imagine being proud of having your country going through a thousand years of peace. All because a certain pony couldn't accept the reality of keeping the balance of all things, like having order and chaos happen regularly to ensure the new generation learns about accepting pain and going through it.
If those sorts of people don't like you for who you are, you can either change their minds, or find other people to like you for you.

I liked that Luna helped showing that Dark Spike that Spike was seeing was a hallucination.
I really wished the issue about Luna's case is addressed..
As in the embarrassment in the current timeline and how she is dead in Dark Spike's time..
I had pretty nice memories of seeing that Teen Titans episode I think.
Slade's mask making Robin hallucinate shows how terrifying Slade was even in death, he caused trouble.

WOW. If this chapter proved anything to me it's these:
1. Spike should've stayed with the dragons during the migration.
2. If ponies ended being this bad & judgmental about dragons, the show itself should've been canceled after season 2.
