Oh no, this isn't good...
Those zebras are playing a dangerous game there...
You can add breathplay to the list.
what have we hear - what have we here
stopped her moving - stopped her from moving
could do is breathe - could do was breathe
pour out of the top - pour in from the top
voice had Gel fill with anger- voice filled Gel with anger

Hay does not live in this universe.
I just realized this. Gel's instantaneous communication between his gooplicates breaks relativity by exceeding c. Fortunately this is a magic universe so general relativity need not apply.
7110677 You are telling me that just now you have noticed that in both mine and David's stories, we always replace Hey with Hay? I even made a joke of it in Penny's story!
Also, there is no evidence that this communication breaks any significant percentage of c. Plus, as you mention, magic.

Oh, I was well aware of the hay-Hay convention, I just felt like being silly.
As for whether or not Gel is exceeding c, that would take some relatively simple but precise experiments. The bottom line would be that if he is indeed transmitting information over any distance with zero lag, i.e. instantaneously, then that goes beyond c in the same way that Einstein's 'incompressible rod' thought experiment.* But even if the speed of thought is limited to the speed of light, and Equestria is roughly the same size as Earth, the greatest ping time between two points should be approximately 67ms which for all practical purposes would appear instantaneous.
It would be a cool experiment for Twilight to take up though, does Gel's communication between gooplicates vary depending on the medium it passes through? He could potentially be the key to a super communication network between major points in Equestria, though the bandwidth is probably only good enough for emergency communication and emergencies that require that level of coordination are thankfully few and far between.
There, I've exercised that silly thought out of my brain too.
*any thoughts regarding Gel and incompressible rods are left to the readers' imaginations.
Well, I'll say this much for you: You really make despicable villains.
7216804 Oh, hee, you are on this chapter. This one was fun
Ugh, Gel is too easily subdued and controlled...
Ok...WTF? He can resist the control of an overcharged changeling queen but failed against stupid zebras?
7333348 Duh. He's a living plot device!
Seriously though, pick story or pick clop and focus on one or the other. The focus here seems to be on the latter, which makes the former just annoying in cases like this
7333348 One Queen easier to contend with than many zebras with there own kind of magic.
Hmm, can I have my own Gel? Please?
