Now what do you suppose is wrong with this line here?
p.s. I saw that ninja edit.
I am curious why Granny didn't go back to the farm to settle down? Twilight's a nice mare and all but her place?
The line from RD about danger isn't too far from the truth. I'd imagine there's always going to be some self-appointed crusader out to rid the world of purported evils such as Nibbles or The Tree.
When Celestia isn't busy being a mother, I have a sneaking suspicion that a certain white alicorn is going to hit up Twilight's fungeon now and again. (When you're as experienced as her, it must get difficult to find new things to try out)
Wakes weeks were massive holidays a hundred years ago in the UK. Railways saturated with travelers, and yet, somehow with a third the lines and stations and smaller trains on local lines its said far more people use them.
A Celebration of life gone by, leaving us in their wake.
Little Miss Dark Sunset. I would think Pinkie definitely felt that, after all, she was being affected directly.
Look Out, Beware, Mango Vamponies On Parade.
7455794 Yeah, somepony messaged me on skype with it, not 20 mins after I published the chapter.
7455844 There are a few reasons. One, she wouldn't have made it (if the description didn't make it clear enough, she was in cardiac arrest). Two, she was trying to make sure AJ wouldn't go back to the farm and hide, giving her another reason to have a life away from her farm.
7455963 Usually ours were just a happy party, celebrating all the awesome things the person did during their life.
Talk about a commemorative tree...
Sunset, with the power of an Alicorn, has been reduced to massively inefficient casting to the point of hardly meeting a foals standard? Oh boy...
Keep going! ;)
7460302 He wouldn't know how to begin to please Princess Celestia.
Also, bonus points if you know where "Lord Such" comes from.
Awkward phrasing. Probably needs a comma or two as well.
Shimmer
that,
before would work better.
i always liked the idea of a wake, for those reading this who don't know what it is theres 2 types, irish and japaness, the crux of both cultures is the idea that mourning is a private thing, japaness wakes are breif cerimonies with just a few close friends and family in atendence, an image mostly like a western funeral but a bit less pomp
irish wakes on the other hand are another beast altogether, a wake is not a mourning of passing it is a celebration of life
those who were closest to the departed gather to tell stories and share memories with one another to help build a completed picture of the person they all lost, as with alot of scotch/irish celebratory events alcohol plays a heavy part
9218080 I grew up in a very rural area which had adopted a lot of traditions from various European ancestries, one of which was a wake. I think ponies would prefer this way of marking someone's passing primarily because it is meant to celebrate what they were in life, a very pony thing indeed.
