Honestly there are points in this story that consistently make me wonder, 'Why am I still reading this?' and then chapters like this come out and say, "This. This is why you still bother reading."

What are the things you don't like? I want to know so that I can improve the future chapters. Thanks.
And here. We. Go...
Why can't I thumb up separate chapters?!
2703184 Mostly, it's the pacing and that nothing "interesting" is happening most of the time. I just need to learn to grin and bear it.
Something REALLY bad is about to happen in the future, I don't think that Catherine will stay silent forever...
2703331
Something is not as close as you think, but..........
2703359 Don't ask me how, but I mostly manage to spoiler myself WITHOUT knowing the spoiler...
this story have a santes row 3 feel to it
Somehow... I don't think Twiley will be finding Cadance this time.
Don't remember if I said it before, but I really like how the characters in this story realistically explore and exploit all the possibilities that the new set of rules opens up. Most of the time even in the best books or movies there's some amazing ability someone has, or a resource, or whatever, that he/she uses only at arbitrary times for story convenience, even though it would've really helped a lot of the times. Here? The characters are presented with the new abilities and actually make constant use of them and experiment and are intelligent about what they can achieve with them. The only other work of fiction I remember where this sort of realism within the fantastic set of rules was achieved is the short series "The Lost Room", which is like one of the best things ever.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when an author adds a half baked power. I like to explore every use for a power. For example: why levitate a spear when you can use the same power to crush your enemy's windpipe? Why not use a portal as a blade, or impact spell as a sheild? Sheild spell as a platform or blade? Rarity's gem finding spell as a tracking device? The possibilities from MLP alone are staggering.

Exactly! Too often it seems like all those powers and abilities that we don't have but the characters of some story do are as new and unfamiliar to them as they would be to us should we suddenly gain them. Authors really need to spend some time sitting down and imagining what would someone who's had quite a lot of time (however much is implied by the story) with those abilities think of doing with them. A lot of the simplest and most standard magic spells from fantasy settings are unbeliveably versatile, same with superhero powers. A great example would be the apple-cutting by teleporting a single layer of atoms from it's middle or whatever it ended up working like in one of the previous chapters. But you also fully utilize the portaling abilities between the two planets, the advantages of both worlds (weapons of one and riches of the other), etc etc. So props for this

Have you ever seen One Piece? The devil fruit users in that start out with their maximum power from day one: it will never get stronger. That means a major plot point of the series is figuring out the uses and limits of their powers. Luffy, the main character, could use his strongest moves from day one, if he had thought about it, but he had to spend years learning to control his rubber body. It doesn't help that he's an idiot...
2704553 Nope, can't say I have. That's an anime, right? I don't like anime.
2704581
Yes, it is. I brought it up because the nature of their powers means that te writer also has to get creative with them.
2704778 Well, in any case I usually like it more when it's some new law of the world or some mysterious thing or place or entity or whatever than when it's about a character's abilities or magic. Hence "The Lost Room", about some sub-space-time anomaly and a bunch of items with strange properties, and the characters use it all pretty inventively through the story. Basically everyone should watch it.
Big Red Button of Fun? Yes.
The time skip was a bit disorienting, especially with the 'new additions' to the group, but I still loved reading it.
2705994
Well, it was better than my original plan: just a skip without the transitional chapter. The next chapter would have opened with Nick & Klika arriving in Equestria and jumping strait into the action.
2704803 Fimfiction, or regular story?
2708444 I was talking stories in general that whole dialogue (of books, movies, games, what have you), and "The Lost Room" was a television miniseries.
2708455 Hmm.... wonder if I can find it on youtube (since it's not on Netflix), it sounds interesting.
2708479 Probably not on youtube but you've got the whole internet at your disposal, there's hundreds of filthy, dirty, nasty pirating websites that I always use to watch stuff I can't buy (which I'm not endorsing but you could totally do it!)
Is this gonna end differently then cannon?
Because that would be kinda cool.
2711099
Absolutely not, because I have never heard of blue streak until now.
2712748
Wait and see...
2714984
So be it, I will wait.
