Right after the events of the sonic rainboom, it is decided that Spike the newly hatched dragon is to be sent to live with his own kind, but with all the negative relations with the dragons, it was bound to cause trouble, the guard tasked with the transport of the whelp decides why risk his flank, so he flies to the Everfree Forest and deposits the baby. But he is unaware that he flew over 5 little fillies who all happened to making their way to the small village at the forests edge.

They see the guard leave the poor defenseless baby in the forest, so they retrieve him, but this has its consequences. Spike who started out with no family, now has 5 mommies.

When their mother brings home an abandoned purple hatchling, and introduces him as Spike, the newest member of their family, both Garble and Smolder are more than thrilled. Garble even vows to be the best big brother he can be for Spike, no matter what he does or fails to do.

Wanting to find out, Friendship School Guidance Councillor Starlight Glimmer decides to give them the ultimate test: playing Cards Against Equestria.

For this story, I used actual cards from the game, though some of them have been slightly altered so that they more closely reflect the world of Friendship is Magic instead of the real world.

Everybody knows Gallus is moping. He has a pretty good reason, too; heartbreak is never easy. Why else would he actually be studying by himself in a library, after all? Unfortunately, the Student Six are in charge of putting their own spin on a Hearth's Warming pageant, and that means they need everyone.

So how do you coerce the participation of a reluctant griffon? Kidnapping, of course.

This story was written for Quills and Sofas Secret Santa Speedwrite contest, and tied for first. It was written for Cara, with the prompt (beware spoilers): Fluff with Gallus (maybe a Student Six polycule?)

Gallus always enjoys spending Hearth's Warming with his schoolfriends in Ponyville, and he wants to ensure they have the best time possible. When Sandbar mentions how much he enjoyed making wreaths as a colt, it seems like the perfect activity for the six of them to do together. If only it wasn't so cold outside.

Silverstream’s breath kinda smells like fish right now and that’s the only flaw I can pin on her. Her beak and claws are polished. Her mane has that wild...windswept...thing going on.

“You’re literally perfect,” I tell her. I put a little growl into my voice to make it clear that I’m seething in rage.

Every time Luna falls asleep, her lover vanishes. Every morning, she must find who he's replaced.
