Well, what better way to end the year than with some more prime quality horsewords, right?
First off, that chapter title is pure perfection.
Second, poor Ruby deserves all the hugs. The depth and bittersweet nature of the relationship between mother and daughter truly shines here, and it's really interesting to see how their respective identities are adapting to their altered circumstances and to each other – quite organically. More generally, it was nice to have these calm, touching moments after the previous dramatic events.
In short, another great chapter, and I'll eagerly await what the next ones will bring!
Berry and Ruby need *all* the hugs! Always happy to see some of that good ol' mother daughter binding time. Sibling love is really not that far from parental love after all...
Having a chapter published to finish out the year is quite a nice finale to 2020, especially as it has good will and some sparks of happiness after the dark events of the past few chapters. Things will get better (...eventually!)
Crazy old cat ladies to the rescue! Pony's are basically cats anyways, right? Just the thought of Berry and her little filly all curled up though is just diabeetus levels of cuteness. Excited to see where the adventure goes next! <3
What a way to start off the new year. Thank you to you and your editor for this chapter. I really like how Brian has given way to Berry (or rediscovering Berry), and she is thinking clearer. Still will have to deal with DTs, but seems to be healing. I love how Ruby is opening up to Berry, and how they found a retreat for the moment, getting much needed recuperation. Though I have the last bit of the chaptwr read, it is a relief at this point things are calm, and can be thought through.
I look forward to finishing this chapter, and the next.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
