Letter 89: Here.
To my most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle,
It's wonderful to hear you're having fun with friends, Twilight.
Between you and I, sometimes it's quite fun to play a character very different from yourself, as it allows us to explore new ideas and aspects of ourselves we otherwise would not. Just remember it's alright to ask for advice from time to time!
Your loving mentor,
Princess CelestiaPS. Anon, I would agree if it was intentional.

You're fast with these responses.
Come to think of it after my last comment, if she rolled a human bard with charisma for her dump stat, she'd basically be RPing as Anon. An 8 in charisma but with all her skill points in persuasion & deception.

O shit, you’re right
"Role-play, Celestia? Why, what kind of... role-play do you do?"
So, Celestia basically ratted Anon out on the fact that he makes "additions" when writting Twilight's letters?
Ohhhhhh, that's a sick burn. It took me a moment to get it.

In a way. The way Tia responds within letters to Twilight are usually in post scripts about something theoretically innocuous. In this case she's referring to Twilight role-playing herself by having a wisdom of 4.
9939891 That would be telling
P.P.S. On a related note, that earth pony mare named Sunflower definitely isn't me in disguise, so please stop trying to blow my cover.

I'm probably just being dumb and missing something incredibly obvious (it's not unheard of) but I simply don't understand how we get from that to "you wouldn't want to embarrass Fluttershy" as if he'd threatened to do something. Feel free to ignore me.
Never mind! I just occurred to me out of nowhere. I was, indeed, being dumb and missing something incredibly obvious.
9939941 She has a wisdom of 4...she's not going to question it.
88.1 to 89?????

Not every letter has a response.

A caring, patient ruler who is a pure maiden and has motherly love for ALL her subjects ad not the least bit of frustration that isn't actually sorry acceptance that STUPID (not the Changeling) and ARROGANT PRICK simply runs in their family.

Damn you

I know, which is why I like her calling him out on it. I especially love how subtle she is about it. Great writing!
I know it's only been a few days, but chapters?

The funny thing is, he's proven time and time again that he isn't as immature as others think he is - just acts that way, quite a bit. He can be responsible and mature, and generally can adult when he needs to.
Which is why she's calling him out in the first place. If she thought he wasn't better than that, why bother?
There's always something deeper.
That's actually one of the things I found completely unfair when I were a kid, in general. Good luck explaining to a kid that the reason you're not trying to fix the others is because you either believe they're unfixable, or that they'll need a harsh lesson from life...
And the fact that the others took it as proof of my suckage... didn't help. :)
