Bright Mac and Pear Butter. It’s no secret that these two were missed and nopony knows this better than Applejack. She missed them, and would do anything to be wrapped onto their hooves again. But something unexpected happened on the day before their parent’s anniversary. She, and her family, find Pear Butter wandering the streets of Ponyville. The sight of her mother both excites and disheartens Applejack. Is that pony really her mother? And if it is, can she finally let go of her?

Anyway, I hope there's an explanation for why Applejack is being especially hard on Apple Bloom. I don't think it's in her nature, especially since her parents are around to do all the disciplining.
I'm a little confused as to when this takes place – AJ breaking her locker door and other stuff would indicate that this is set after “Legend of Everfree.” It would make sense if she were still learning to control her super strength and wanted to try to keep it under wraps. But I don't remember the statue being broken at that point.
Still, the really interesting part should be coming up next. We'll see where this goes.

Hm...Not the direction I thought this story would go in. It's good that it's not predictable, but OTOH I would've preferred to see the ponies of Ponyville react to Pear Butter coming "back from the dead." But maybe Princess Twilight will realize Pear Butter came there and come through the portal to bring her back so she can meet everypony.

Yeah, an explanation to the various parents is pretty much inevitable. Though you'd think Granny Smith would know a thing or two about what's going on, considering.
Pear Butter looks beautiful as a pony and it also carried over to her human incarnation. Now that I think about it, I can't stop imagining her protecting her kids using a power fist instead of a shotgun because of WHO the voice actress is.

That was sort of cowardly of Celestia to dodge the question and leave Applejack to answer. Then again, this is Principal Celestia, not Princess Celestia, so she's bound to have more human flaws.
Apple Bloom, Big Mac, and Granny Smith all know about the magic at school, but they weren't at Camp Everfree, so only AJ knows the details about the geodes. Though if hers is causing so many problems there, you'd think she'd take it off during school. Maybe she's worried that if she left it at home, her parents would find it.

Either Pear Butter and Bright Mac have been uninvolved as parents, or Applejack and her friends made a secret pact not to tell their families about Equestria or magic or Twilight. The last part seems the oddest – you'd think AJ would at least introduce Twilight as her “new friend from the other side of town.” At any rate, Pear Butter is about to get more answers than she bargained for, and I can't wait.
