You never needed to do this to remind us how much of a monster this Celestia is. It was good foreshadowing to us readers what was going to happen to Scoots when you revealed her. You know I notice there is a subtle message in each of your stories. The illusion of choice.
In the TvE story Nightmare moon or any pony else failed to comprehend what Trixie wagon meant. Kinda funny actually erasing her mind Celestia technically created something she doesn't want in her world. Trixie became a blank slate without the corruption and misery that Celestia world bring to her "beloved" ponies. So that's why Twilight sought her out.
I like it how you make your stories in such a way that were the plot holes later make sense. Because before the order of shadows I did wonder why Trixie was not corrupted by this world. I'm still hoping that this story will explain the reason why Celestia didn't kill the Main 6 when they became a danger to her.
But now there is another thing I desire to see. With all the crap the evil Celestia has done how will she cope with all this at the end of TvE? Because Cabaleron is already this distraught with this vile deed. Just how will Celestia cope with all the deeds done by her counterpart over a 1000 years? She should be an emotional wreck. I hope in the sequel there will be small story interlopes in which she talks to a shrink talking about each foul thing her counterpart did and how it effects the current present which her and the rest have to deal with.

Curiously, I didn't even think about the Scootabuse trope when I put her in this position. Which is dumb, because it's pretty obvious in hindsight.

Tyrantlestia: "A 'danger to her'. Pfft, you're so cute."
If ever I finish this, then the topic of Celestia's mental state will eventually be addressed in one or more of the sequels. Alas, the story will be going on hiatus after the next chapter due to a need to focus on other projects, but hopefully not for long.
Oh my...
Yeah man, can’t stay on hiatus indefinitely. We’ve got two more ponies to wheel out. Really, I’m unsure which I’m anticipating more: Surprise or Octavia.
Speaking of surprises, you’ve mentioned other projects in the works. ‘Generosity’ will be a nice palette cleanser following this chapter. Will NH:LoP also have a new chapter before the year’s out?

Believe me, I don't want this to go on hiatus, but other projects call, some of which have already been waiting over a year for my attention. It'll be a few months, I'm sure.
NH:LoP will remain on the backburner until Songbird's rough draft is finished. The good news is that I'm closing on the end of it. The bad news is that it'll definitely not be done by the end of the year. The current forecast is early January, but that assumes my guess on the number of chapters is accurate. The next OoS book will be up after that, but it'll be waiting for either LoP or Bulletproof Heart to be finished, and I don't see either of those being done before, say, May.
But you never know, if I get far enough ahead of schedule I may release things early.
