This story is a sequel to My Little Dashie: Fourth Times the Charm

At the end of My Little Dashie: Fourth Time's the Charm, Brian made it to the afterlife. In the epilogue, Dashie does as well. Happy ending, end of story... right?

And yet, something seems as if it's missing. We still have so many unanswered questions. What was Dashie's life like without her father? What was "afterlife" like for Brian, and what did he do to pass the time while waiting for his little Dashie? What was the deal with Forest? How did each of Dashie's beloved friends pass away? And so much more...

With the help of research, theorizing, and educated guesses, I believe I've made a story that all fans of the My Little Dashie series can get some satisfaction out of!

I didn't receive permission to do this from ROBCakeran53 or Ponymanne215. I planned to, but I saw that ROB never does reply to those requests (Edit: Thanks for the comment ROB!) and the latter hasn't been online since 2013. So I decided it would be a lost cause. Nevertheless, I was stoked to do this!

On one completely ordinary morning, Dash finds a human baby in the woods. What follows is a story about losing something which you never had in the first place.

The original story: My Little Dashie

After the conclusion of "My Little Dashie", life goes on for the narrator and Dashie. They do indeed remember each other and all the time they shared, but how can Dashie let her daddy know this crucial fact? Long after Dashie has left his life, he decides to catch up on all the episodes he missed by cutting off when he adopted Dashie. As he watches, suspicion of her lasting memories grows on his part, while she attempts to find a way to communicate her situation to him. Pasts are revealed, shedding significant light on the circumstances of Dashie's adoption, and Dashie tries to throw in an on-screen hint that only he will grasp the true meaning of.

So, this is LONG overdue. I wrote this back in October, inspired both by the original story and by a picture by CSImadmax over on deviantART. However, I did not have a FIMFiction account at the time and merely posted the story on my deviantArt account as a link to the Google Doc that housed it (link if you don't believe me: http://amimizunofan22.deviantart.com/art/My-Little-Dashie-A-Moment-265671483). Nonetheless, I figured that posting it here would help spread it a bit more. So, without further ado, here is My Little Dashie: A Moment. Oh, a quick note: the picture that essentially kickstarted the writing process (and serves as the cover image) and that will give you a much better idea of the closing scene than my description (because I SUCK at describing outfits) is this one: http://csimadmax.deviantart.com/art/new-season-259085425 In fact, have it pulled up once the story gets to Twilight's library at the end.

My Little Dashie by ROBCakeran53 left many wondering 'What happened next?', ty500600 took the initiative to give the story an ending, to grant closure to all those saddened hearts. The ending gave closure, as intended, but still left the readers with many questions, myself included. I have taken the liberty to answer some of those questions in this epilogue/story.

Note: In this story, ty500600's Epilogue is only true to a degree, yes it happened but it happened differently.

Dad has been in Equestria for five years now, but what has happened during his time there? What will happen in the future?

This story was initially going to be just an epilogue but I've put some thought into it and I wish to continue the tales of Dad and Dashie.

Brian is now getting into his middle ages and eventually to his old age. He knows that he won't have much time and does what he can to love his life even more and live it with Dashie and her friends.

Anyone who sees this, check out deathtap's fiction; The Problem With Magic. He is writing about a man who gets turned into a pony in the same world as Brian. So Brian from the MLD series will have an important role in this fan fic.

After being touched by the great story My Little Dashie written by ROBCakeran53, I wanted to give the story an ending, something that would bring closure to all. Rainbow has finally returned back to the lands of Equestria, but things did not go as well as the ponies were hoping. Meanwhile, Dad is having a brash confrontation with magic and other-worldly situations.

UPDATE: EpicBG has decided to continue on with my continuation (lol), but in his story, my Epilogue never happened, so go into his story knowing that. His is about the adventures of Dad and Dashie in Equestria, go check it out, its quite good. Here is the Link!

By some cosmic happenstance, a young woman is transported to Equestria, and finds herself in a precarious situation. She's taking it in stride so far. Maybe because finding herself in an alien world and in an alien body is not the worst thing that's ever happened to her.

Some wounds, especially those of the soul, can take a long time to mend. What healing arts can the ponies of Equestria offer a scarred young woman? What can she offer them in return?

Timeline-wise takes place starts off in the later parts of season 4 but before the season finale. It also mentions events from the EG-movies and the comics, but neither of which are required watching/reading in order to understand this story.
