Spike is a dragon who was raised by ponies. Rarity is one of the most successful fashionistas in all of Equestria. This is the story about how a certain drake won the heart of his special lady and the lives they build with each other. Many challenges await our intrepid heroes, from threats to Equestria to the matters of the heart.

This is a "sort of" follow-up to "Bride of Discord." Not really a sequel, but is set in the same universe.

Cozy Glow has long abandoned the lands of Equestria, carrying her burdens with her. Too many mistakes to count, she deserved to be alone. All she wanted was to get rid of her regrets inside her head. Even being an alicorn merely made the pain only a little more tolerable.

Spike is the last one left after the rest of Equestria's defenders are defeated and imprisoned. He's now on a mission to find help outside his homeland, where he finds a powerful alicorn filly.

Spike is searching for the perfect ring, with the intention of finally popping the question to his long time girlfriend. Thank goodness Trixie knows of a place that carries totally not cursed rings worthy of a pony like Rarity.

An attempt to cheer the saddened dragon by Applejack quickly leads to the development of affection between the pair. But Applejack is not the only one with feelings for the reptilian assistant. Twilight also realizes her romantic love for the dragon as he spends more and more time outside the library and away from her. But her white counterpart soon admits her own feelings for her long-time, scaly suitor as well.

Twilight realizes Spike might be neglecting his childhood when she sees how hard the dragon is working to help her around the library, so she decides to send him to school to mingle with ponies his own age. Despite his intellect and maturity, Spike finds himself with unfamiliar ponies, in an even more unfamiliar environment. Can Spike learn what it means to be a child before the fillies and colts drive him insane?
