This morning, Shining Armor thought that his daughter's goth phase was his biggest worry. Now, he has to deal with a retired stage magician, a smoke monster that refuses to stay dead, the dumbest possible parallel universe, AND his daughter's goth phase.

Nothing about this makes any sense... and why does King Sombra seem oddly afraid of Trixie...?

Quite possibly the crackiest of all crack fics I have ever written for any fandom to date. I wrote this in about a week and had an absolute BLAST writing it. :rainbowlaugh: Contains...

  • Trixie's verbal tic maxed out to the point where it becomes a plot point of sorts
  • brooding goth Flurry Heart, complete with goth name
  • card tricks
  • the Crystal Empire having quite possibly worse security protocols than it does in canon
  • nopony taking anything quite as seriously as they probably should
  • Shining Armor making a few rather questionable choices involving his daughter's safety
  • card tricks
  • a magic mirror portal that ought to be yeeted into the sun or moved to the SCP Foundation HQ
  • trace amounts of Applejack
  • an homage to the best Mumbo and Grian comedy skit from the Last Life series on YouTube
  • card tricks

Inspired by TWO contests!

Entering this into the Portal Transformations Contest I.

Also, after some consideration and checking with Muggonny, entering this into the Shining Armor is a Terrible Dad 2024 Competition. It blasted WAY past the max word count, but I'll just have to live with the wordcount penalty. :trixieshiftright:

This story is a sequel to The great Crystal escape

It’s been a year since Flurry Heart sneaked out of a diplomatic meeting to attend ComiCon. And this time their parents scheduled a meeting with the same diplomats she ditched the last time as punishment, now for a whole week. Not only that, but her father has the entire Crystal Guard watching her every move. This time there is no escape, and definitely no ComiCon.

…Right?

SPOILERS: Goth Geek Flurry. Shining Armor wasting a ridiculous amount of military resources to make sure her daughter stays grounded.

This is a direct sequel to The Great Crystal Escape. Reading is recommended but not necessary to understand the story. Also, this is an entry for the Shining is a Terrible Dad competition.

A week after she moves in, a guilty Twilight tells Starlight there are no funds in the bank so she'll have to pay rent... or she's out. What does the newly-reformed unicorn do? Start her own delivery service across time and space itself. As you do.

Why did you even have to ask? And what could possibly go wrong?

I think we all know the answer to that...

Congratulations to ZanyZapper who was the obvious winner when I set up a contest on this blog to see who could come up the best idea for a one shot.

Only problem is, now it's a two-shot. Or a three-shot. Or a...

Look, let's just play it by ear, shall we?

Twilight discovers, as ruler of Equestria, she is the one that makes the law and the one that is the last word of what the existing ones mean. Their wording feels a bit outmoded as cases come before her.

This story is a sequel to No Heroes: Life of Pie

A brief visit to an extra-dimensional bar helps Verity Fine Crime make an important decision.

A warm farewell to some beloved characters and an AU I am going to miss. And yes, I am considering this canon to the franchise. That said, I think (and hope) that newcomers will be able to grasp what's going on without having read everything that came before... although the effect might not be as strong without that context.

A collaboration with Wanderer D and crossover with his Sunset's Isekai anthology. My thanks to WD for letting me use the Isekai for this story.

This story is meant to be read together with the appropriate chapter of Sunset's Isekai. The second chapter links directly to it for ease of reading.

(Indirect sequel to "The Power Ponies: Birth of a Mane-iac". Familiarity with that fic is encouraged but not necessary.)

Hum-Drum and The Power Ponies are shocked to be contacted by their arch enemy: The Mane-Iac. And she isn't looking for a fight, not this time. No, The Mane-Iac claims she's really sick, to the point where she's dying.

However, The Mane-Iac has one last trick up her sleeves. She's got a special spray ready to be released on an unsuspecting Maretropolis upon her death. And the only way she can be cured is with a special beauty product that's being delivered to Maretropolis' dock yards.

But The Mane-Iac is unusually specific in wanting Hum-Drum to go alone to retrieve what she needs, threatening to prematurely unleash her spray if The Power Ponies interfere. Hum-Drum reluctantly accepts, not anticipating what the real reason for him being chosen is.
