Every year, Princess Twilight puts on a Hearth's Warming Party at her castle. Good times are had by all, and this year it pays host to one very special guest in a certain talkative Kirin. Applejack's idea, for the record. Laughs are sure to result, right?

Applejack would have been a foolish mare not to have noticed that Autumn once sang about being trapped in a silent prison with only the voices in her head for company. Ponyville is quiet today. Disturbingly quiet. So are all of Fluttershy's friends. But Fluttershy is completely comfortable with it. She loves days like this...

My roommate's name is Octavia, or "Tavi" for short. She likes vintage red wine, soft pillows, and long walks on the beach. But, more than anything, she loves music. She loves it with a passion that radiates with every burning color of the spectrum.

Each day I spend with her... or without her, I learn a little bit more about life, about the sick beat to which we all dance, whether we know it or not. I hope you don't mind if I say a few things about her. Just a few things. One can learn a lot from Tavi.

And, most importantly, she thought she had finally escaped her past.

However, during the annual Hearthfire visits for Hearth's Warming, she's suddenly asked to return to Wintertide village, the place of her birth. In just under a week, she has to make a choice. Face her past.
