Four years after a bloody war that raged across the continent of Equestria a supernatural winter rages as ponies try and survive under the rule of a cold ruler.

Twilight Sparkle and her friends have been called back to Canterlot and must now come to terms with the new kingdom that Equestria has become. As they learn to cope events conspire against them that force them back into the fight.

But a single question remains, who will they fight for?

Twilight Sparkle has disappeared. Not just from the face of Equestria but possibly from the face of her universe itself. She must now learn how to survive in a place unlike anything which she has experienced thus far. Luckily she has a friend out in the Wasteland. Twilight goes to an interdimensional party hosted by Pinkie and is immediately out of her depth; hilarity ensues as she interacts with the occupants of many different universes. Meanwhile the party rages all around her as Pinkie visits all of her dimension hopping friends.

Sora and company crash land in Equestria and discover that Equestria is in the grips of a Heartless attack and race to offer their assistance. They soon discover a dark plot that seeks to use the Elements of Harmony to unleash the power of Kingdom Hearts in favor of a great evil. Takes place around two years after the second game.
