I wrote this for the Author Support Writing Prompt 7; It’s Hearts and Hooves day, and you don’t have a partner.

I was dying from insomnia whilst I wrote this, so I do appologise if it doesn't make any sense at all.

It's simple, and beautiful, and wonderful. Have a thumb.

Thank you.

I was concerned that I rushed the pacing at the end, and I have no idea why that dream sequence at the beginning exists, so I was quite worried by how well it would be recieved.

Holy mother of Celestia, I just realised that you're the writer of Dusk's Dangerous Game! That's one of my favourite fics! And you like one of my stories!?

[Insert Fanspaz Here]

A delight of a fic; and in such a shippy universe, Mr. Right (or Ms. Right) could pop up at any time.

This really helped me with something I've been down about, and it's not what you might think. Thank you.

1662415
It's a pleasure, I am glad you enjoyed it.

Simple, sweet, and to the point.

You get a score of B/5.

1662522
That's...good, right?

So Spike is the one she helps, but it's only Rarity's happiness she cares about? This condones the interpretation that Pinkie Pie doesn't consider Spike to be one of her friends. I enjoyed the fic up until that point, then grimaced at the last line:

"...five" very Special Someponies.

:ajbemused:

1662553
Well, I was dying from insomnia when I wrote it, but remember that the mane 6 are close friends with each other, and Pinkie probably considers them to be closer friends than her and Spike.

I could have written it better, I admit.

And what's wrong with that line? Too cheesy?

1662659 The word "five". Spike is Twilight's closest friend, closer than the other Elements. Twilight is also the one who united them all in the pilot, so it would make sense for the other five to acknowledge Spike's importance to her. Also, Spike's hatching was a result of the same event that connected them as fillies, and I dunno about you, but being born seems like a far more significant even than earning a cutie mark. Sure, they may prefer the company of other girls for sleepovers, picnics, and sometimes birthday parties, but if he's not as close a friend to the Elements as they are to each other, someone somewhere is being superficial and downplaying his importance. Plus he's an orphan; if the ponies were as compassionate and generous as we know they are, they'd make damn sure he feels just as loved as their other friends.

I'm pretty sleepy, too, so if I said anything that sounded odd or out of line, that's why.

Oh, and the rest of your fanfic was a great read. :pinkiehappy:

A great story! though I feel pinkie would be a little more upset about not having somepony of her own (just a little though)

If you ask me this story deserves more attention, Good job!

Yeah, I do understand where you are coming from. But in my headcanon (which is as sturdy as a wet paper bag, mind you), whilst Pinkie is friends with everyone, not everyone is friends with Pinkie, if that makes sense. For example, Rainbow Dash didn't actually hang out with Pinkie until "Griffin the brush off", where they became Best Buds Forever(TM). I imagine that Spikes and Pinkies relationship is similar, sure they are friends, but they are closer to Twilight than each other.

1662714
Glad you liked it! As for pinkie feeling sad, well I based it of my personal feelings about love, and about a year and a half ago I became content with the idea of not having a romantic relationship, just plenty of platonic ones. I like to imagine that pinkie is also content. Makes it easier for me to identify with her, at any rate.

This was a really nice story. You got Pinkie down packed. Fav'ed and liked.

1662769
That was actually a big concern durring this story, as I am never sure just how silly or serious to make Pinkie, and writing in first person didn't help.

That was really good.

I'll be honest, I didn't have high hopes for it, but you proved me wrong.

P.S: Keep writing Pinkie Pie stories, you're good at them.

1663115

Thanks for the praise!

Note to self: More Pinkie stories. Got it.

Just ditched the random tag, as I felt it didn't fit.

If anyone disagrees, speak up.

Rarit said. “It really cheered him up,

Quite enjoyable. I really enjoyed a lot of the little stuff, but it is worth mentioning that Spike had told Pinkie about his crush so her knowing would come as no surprise to him. Also, I must agree Spike would be counted on Pinkie's list. They hang out, share secrets, and Pinkie is comfortable enough pranking him, after all. :moustache::heart::raritywink:

1663199
Thanks for pointing that out. Will go fix it.

As for the Spike thing, if I add Spike, I'll have to add the Cakes, and if I add the Cakes I'll have to add the rest of Ponyville, and its a slipperly slope I really dont want to go down.

Heck, I am fairly sure that Pinkie said as much.
Yeah, she did;

Three for three. Or is that four? But if I include Spike, do I have to include Princess Celestia and Braeburn?

1663226 Too be fair, she didn't help the Cakes, and I suspect she would add Celestia considering the mentor type relationship all the girls have with her. Braeborn is rather unlikely though, since she barely knows him. I'm not saying she can't have favorites; I just can't see him not being on that list.

1663250
Okay, you (and the others who argued the case) convinced me, I'll change it to six.

Well, although I'm a bit neutral on the AJ-Bareburn thing, great story over all!

1664213
To be honest, I had no intention of writing it, it just sort of evolved as I developed the scene, I have no oppinion on it one way or the other myself.

Besides, if it was good enough for Queen Victoria, its good enough for Applejack.

1664240
First cousins, while Bareburn was AJ's cousin directly... I think

1664253
A first cousin is the child of your parents sibling.

1664294
... I'm not sure it is... doesn't sound right.

1664303
Wikipedia to the rescue!

First cousins
The children of two siblings.

1664321
What's the child of a cousin then?

1664327
First cousin once removed, according to wikipedia...I think. It gets confusing after second cousins.

1664336
The removed stuff always confused me anyway.

Princess Celestia: *reads Pinkie's letter* I didn't know Pinkie Pie was a polygamist!

Good story, only complaint is that you kept screwing up "your" and "you're". That mistake really pisses me off.

1664593
Goddess dammit! I'll fix it when I have the chance, thanks for pointing it out.

*grumbles about stupid dyspraxia...*

Edit- and fixed.

I curse the 6 people that didn't like this. This story was very sweet and wonderful. Not all these ships are my thing but that's okay, it's still a great little story.
:ajsmug::derpytongue2::yay::pinkiehappy::rainbowkiss::raritywink::twilightblush::trollestia::moustache:

1673726
Thanks!

And don't worry about the 6 who disliked it. I already have my best agents on the case.:trollestia:

Single's Awareness Day...
I can relate to that. When the one person you desire to be with lives over three thousand miles away, and you see couples all around having fun together, it can hurt.

Yes, it is good to have close friends, but close friendss cannot replace having that special someone in your heart.

1689415
I disagree. I believe that there are several types of love- family, friends, sexual/romantic partner (and others I can't be bother to think up of now) and it is my opinion that they should all be equal in my heart. Just because I sleep with someone doesn't mean I should love them more than my family, or that I should love those I am related to more than my friends. I believe that they are of equal importance, and that I shouldn't hold one above the other.

Mind you, I've never been in a relationship, so I could be completely wrong–it is, after all, an opinion based on my limited personal experiences.

1689516

Mind you, I've never been in a relationship, so I could be completely wrong

You and I have so much in common.

'clap…clap…clap…clap…clapclapclapclap' :fluttercry: so beautiful (wipes away tear) good for
Pinkie she's the best:ajsmug::pinkiehappy::yay::twilightsmile:

1970601
In that case, we should totally hook up.

1971413
Pinkie is best pony, after all. I'm glad you liked it.

1971433
Huh
sounds like a good time.
and also, Davenport is best pony. But he's pretty obscure. You probably haven't heard of him :twistnerd:

1971433 sorry but I got to give best pony to Vinyll Scratch cause she was my inspiration to go into music but Pinkie is (in my opinion) second best pony

My teeth! They hurt! This was so sweet.
Seriously though, this was cute and d'aaaaw all the way through and the characters feel pretty in character, so well done on that. You have some grammatical error here and there, but an additional proof-reading should fix that.

2660499
Thanks! I'm glad you like it. And yeah, I wrote this in a sleep deprived state before my grammar started to improve, so it's not as good as it could be. May fix it up at some point in the future.

I love this take on Pinkie. A great inner monologue, wonderful intentions, and enough depth and sincerity to really show what Pinkie has to offer. Great story, and I'm glad I stumbled across it!
