Very interesting! Great plot, but I thought it all the more interesting when you tied it together with rainbowdash/pinkies story.

This is a very touching story. Seeing how heartbroken Twilight was when Spike ran off would tug at anyone's heart strings. Along with Spike willing to die in order to save Twilight, and that Speech at the end. Just simply beautiful.

Good story, though it was a little short for my taste. (weird how it didn't end with twilight saying she loved spike but whatever)
Over all the only thing I suggest changing would be the name seeing how this story is really about growing up as it is about confronting oneself.

I like the idea of the story, but it could've been much better if you would've slowed down the pacing of the story a lot, using more details, giving depth and believability to the character's actions, as well as keeping the characters more in character.

I truly loved the last chapter of this story, especially the ending of it which included Twilight's speech importance of family.
The talk of how it doesn't matter who or what you consider as your parents. It touches on the subject of homosexuality quite well. Kids are lead to believe that families need to have a mom and a dad. That's not necessarily true. You could have parents that consists of two moms or two dads. Now probably someone is going to read this and disagree with me on this.
Very well written and like I said, love the chapter.

Really interesting story.. but that love confession was really rushed. You could've make it slower. Perhaps one date before or may be that's just me...
And that time lapse was huge... I was expecting their first date or a couple of days together before having kids
How big is spike in this story like I can see why having a nightmare about being grown up could cause him to run away if he's already pretty big compaired to a pony but if he's still a baby dragon then it just seems kinda stupid to leave if he's not even bigger then a pony yet
pinkie is starting to scare me with that song she was singing in the kitchen
