Heh, that was awesome, great way to combine the franchises. Though I'm curious at what Octavia was referring, but this was just a great explanation for where Vinyl got those speakers, and a nice look into her head.
Funny thing is I had the exact same thought awhile back. It really DOES make all kind of since. And as I said before, THIS is where they should have used the Transformers sound.
This needs to be continued in some way. It was so good.

The transformation description was probably meant to be evocative of the complicated (and frankly impressive, no matter what anyone says) transformations of the films, but I imagined it like the above anyway.
In any case, this story was exceptionally pleasing to me, but now I wonder: Who else has an autobot pal, and who the robots are.

6703275 Well, if you want an idea for a possible sequel. Midnight Sparkle's rampage at the end of EQG3 must have had the Autobot's (and Decepticon's if any are on-world) Transwarp sensors going absolutely nuts.

It is as follows:

Rarity = Sunstreaker
Pinkie = Wreck-Gar
Applejack = Ironhide
Fluttershy = Mirage
Rainbow Dash = Hot Rod
Sunset = Skids
These is just my theoretical list of which 'bots go with whom, but I hope you find it entertaining.

Usually she's paired up with Soundwave or Bumblebee. The movie itself uses the "transformation" sound from Transformers.
