It just had to be done. Discord has now evolved to a mane six waifu stealer. Kind of feel impressed with myself writing a RariCord, even if it's the first.

I'm expecting a bit of hate on this actually. Part of it could be the time, but the majority I suspect is non-fans for this ship. Or rather, FlutterCord OTPs.

But totally worth it.

This wasn't badly written, but I gave it a thumbs down because it didn't actually feel like Discord was narrating. Characterization, apart from Fluttershy's, was not well done. I'm more interested in why Rarity would go on a date with Discord than anything else, and that was not explained here.

Fair point. I knew my first time using Discord, not to mention first-person too, would slip up somewhere. Haven't really used first-person before, y'know? Not sure if I want to continue with it actually.

But thanks for justifying the downvote. As for Rarity, it wasn't really the main focus. It's not about how they became attracted to each other; it's more how Discord seems to have changed. Though I see your thing. Might have been nice to expand on it a little, but then I wasn't planning a huge time usage for this anyway.

4815690 It's not bad for a first time at all; I've never written first point of view with Discord and tend to avoid first person when I can anyway. I think of it as an easier way to portray emotion, but making action happen is much more difficult. With that definition, it was a good choice for this story, it just didn't feel very practiced.

It's an interesting idea, but so little is properly introduced compared to how much is touched upon: Tirek, Discord's relationship with the name six, withholding his true nature, etc., etc., I just wish a little more of that had been addressed. I think a well developed Raricord would be really interesting, though I understand that the shipping and it's origin were not the purpose of this fic.

I almost didn't know what to expect. I mean, fanfictions put him with everyone from Celestia to Fluttershy (my personal fave, but no bias opinions here~) to even Rainbow Dash! But I think this is the first Raricord story ever, albeit short. It's official; Discord is the new pimp of Equestria--men, keep an eye on your waifus.

While I do find a look into the enigmatic mind of Discord very interesting, this is one of those kinds of stories that I'm almost dying to see how the situation came to be. Since Raricord is such a rare concept, I'd love to see more of them getting to know each other and bonding. I give it a good thumbs up, but since it's quite short and everything (even though I know you said you didn't plan on writing anything big), there's little to say about it otherwise.

I thought it was going to be Fluttershy. I nearly fell out of my seat when I learned it was Rarity. Poor Fluttershy. It seems like she really likes him. But I still love it.

It's not the first Rarity/Discord shipfic ever, but it may be the first plain Raricord, because the other one is a threesome with Pinkie Pie. (Titled "Coiled", and actually pretty well written for a cheap excuse for porn. :-)) That one's from Rarity's POV and is a fairly explicit clopfic, but tastefully done for the most part, as befits Rarity. :-)
