Twilight and Spike decides to switch places for the week to see how their other jobs works out. But will it be a good idea and will Spike's jobs be too much for the Alicorn to handle?

Once a year, the Townsend occurs. It is a weeklong tradition held by all of Equestria where, for a full week, everypony falls into a very deep -- almost comatose -- state. Nopony knows why or how it happens. It just does. So far, nopony has found any consequences to this strange occurence.

Then, one year, ponies start to go missing.

Then, the next year, more ponies start to go missing. Every year after, some ponies just seem to poof, and are never seen again. Nopony knows what happens to them, and those who try to learn, disappear.

Jazz is a very regular pony. In fact, there's nothing special about her at all. She has many good friends, a crush, even a well-respected family. She lives an average life in the little town of Stableside. That is, until she is unable to fall asleep the night of the Townsend.

This starts a series of events that will shatter Equestria forever.

Follow Jazz, as she embarks on the journey of her life. Just what secrets do the Townsend hold?

Slowly, so slowly, something has been roaming the world of Equus and has started to kill the inhabitants. Already all of the Griffon and other Nations' populations have fallen, even the Changelings have died out. The only stronghold in this new Equus is the land of Equestria and even there its failing.

This Universe takes place where Twilight's an Alicorn but all the events actually happen when the mane 6 would be in their early teens/mid-teens, where Twilight is the same age as The Character Night Darkshroud.

Ten years have passed since the sorrowful day when the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony disappeared. The last seven have passed in civil warfare. Discord controls the minds of almost every unicorn in Equestria, and they have formed their own nation: Utopia. Equestria fights to survive, but it's a losing struggle. The Elements of Laughter and Generosity possessed by Equestria can barely stand against the near constant onslaughts by the Element of Magic, and cities are being destroyed as often as they are taken. The Elements of Loyalty, Honesty and Kindness are lost beyond the borders of Equestria. All seems hopeless.
Then, the Bearers return.

Set ten years after the events of Season 2, from which point the story diverges.
