Spike the Dragon is living the life. He and Pipsqueak, his best friend and playcolt of a roommate, own a very nice apartment in upper Manehatten, he just got word a big shot director from Canterlot wants to turn his best selling novel into a play, and business is booming at the jazz bar he and Pipsqueak co-own. Nothing could rain on his parade. Until a bombshell from his past makes a comeback in a big way and Pipsqueak isn't helping matters with his bad advice. And to top it all off some big shot with a vendetta comes along wanting to run their bar out of business. All Spike wants to know where he can a stiff drink...shame dragons can't get drunk.

-- apparent TwiDash is neat--neither mare would really care for on, though if it got wild and frisky, Twilight more than likely can summon a magical stallionhood at will, and it's cute that even though RD is still tomboyish, she's got that cute girly side as well.
-- Saw that coming from a mile away with FlutterMac--apparently 5 sessions with the biggest cock in Ponyville really cured her of most of her fears, but then she wouldn't be FlutterSHY anymore. And a mother of five as well----wow!!
-- I feel sorry for SweetieBelle, but only a little since she recovered---to that bastard Button, you don't just put your key in one lock and then when it's working fine, you start to try use your key in another lock. It's a wonder why that key wasn't 'misplaced' or more than likely 'stripped'.
-- For Pipsqueak, it's a wonder why his dick hasn't fallen off yet; at some point one of the mares that he fucked will fuck him back, and it's not just pegging.....

Intriguing start, and I hope this play is a success, also nice to hear Spike grew his wings.
No Diamond yet, but she's a tag and all the others have found partners, so that means this is probably gonna be a Diamond/Spike ship. I have no idea why, but I actually like that ship provided Diamond isn't completely unlikeable.
Slayer of my heart? I wonder what the history behind that is. I do hope there isn't too much drama though, it turns me off if a slice of life story has too much of it. Better when it's fun and stuff.

I still have to wonder what happened between Spike and Diamond. From what I can gather, they broke up at some point but not on bad terms since Spike still seems to care about her. I still don't know what Diamond is like though, haven't seen enough of her yet to judge.

Immediate reaction: Lucky bastard, that Pipsqueak is, bonking the Princess of all ponies. Also, no wonder Spike left for Manehatten, I bet it was after catching Twilight and Rarity in bed together w/o the damn decency for the latter to tell him that they were always friends and nothing more (obvious friendzoning....personally I would be a little pissed that my own siblings pretty much took a prospect from me, but that is me). Got to hand it to him though, Spike was obviously the better creature of the three to just walk away, and more kudos to him that he and Rarity are still friends and acquaitences. Now it makes sense with Sweetie Belle, and I'm assuming that Tiara was one of Spike's exes, if there is more than one, and probably wants to get back together with him.
Again, this is just a immediate reaction to what I just read. I have only read the first couple of paragraphs, don't worry, there will be proper comments once the chapter has been read.

Glad your liking it. In any case unfortunately it wasn't Rarity and Twilight's 'session' that did that. This was I'd say a year before he started dating Diamond. In truth he didn't talk to either of them for quite some time afterwards but it helped him get over said crush.

So Spike DID indeed catch Twilight and Rarity in the act, or close to it. Definitely see that it was a good while ago, probably a few years in the past, it makes more sense with how the three characters (Rarity, Spike, and Diamond Tiara) initially interact with each other in my opinion. Thanks for clearing that up. I really wonder why Diamond and Spike broke up the first time though, from the lunch date scene with her, his manager/agent Prose, and himself, I can really see that Diamond has deep feelings for him, even after the break up. Was it nasty or clean? Was it on Diamond's side, or Spike's side?
I'm telling ya, you got a lot of story between the two of them, and we haven't even gotten into what made them together in the first place, much less possibly getting back together again.
And it probably doesn't gonna go that way, but I swear that there may even be a little love triangle developing with Sweetie Belle and Diamond Tiara....Sweetie's been a good friend of Spike through Spike's heart-breaking moment as well as when Spike dated Tiara. I'm a little surprised that Sweetie hasn't even attempted to show Spike her own feelings for him. I could bet that it is respect on her part knowing Spike crushed on her sister for so long until it got unceremonially shattered, but seriously, I bet that Sweetie got some affection for the drake.
Spike does deserve the right to be loved after all, he a somepony as well, it's not right that he's pretty much by himself even though he's shown that he can love someone else completely. Good luck, Sweetie Belle.

That flashback implied Twilight was far too busy to do it, and it's a bit odd that he goes by the surname of "The Dragon", implying that he essentially raised himself. Unless Celestia raised him and she told him to go by that because she doesn't want mares chasing after her little dragon because of a title.

And while this has been a nice story so far, yeah, I agree that there doesn't seem to be enough comedy to fit the tag. Unless Spike get publicly revealed to be royalty and gets chased around every mare in the city Yakety Sax style, or something like that, then the tag doesn't seem to fit.
On the other note, I really hope that Diamond and Spike repair their relationship at some point. She acted so... indifferent towards him. Come on Diamond, he saw you at your most vulnerable, and despite knowing your reputation, he was kind and understanding, rather than rubbing her condition in her face. You don't find guys much better than that.

Gotta build up for the romance. The mistake I see that happens way to often is people just jump right into it. There's no build up. It's like they meet one minute and then bam! kiss time and it just irks me. Real meaningful romance takes time to build. On that note the comedy tag is down so we are going full out drama here folks. Not too much mind you but we'll gotta keep it juicy.
