Hearthstone, the card game which has taken Azeroth taverns by storm, meaning all the races can sit down for a friendly game, sometimes for gold, or a drink, or just for fun.

When Twilight Sparkle is walking around her castle, a book seems to materialize in front of her. After reading through it, she finds the rules and instructions to a fun looking card game. She invites her friends over that night for a friendly competition. This is where our story begins.

During the games, each paragraph represents one turn. I will be linking a gallery of all the new cards at some points. In a short while after the update for each chapter, I will add in a list of all the cards used.

Right before an exam, Twilight decides to try out Princess Celestia's brand new creation! An elevator! It sounds just delightful!

find away, or find a friend.

On a certain Tuesday, five thieves break into the Starswirl the Bearded wing in the Canterlot Archives and steal a scroll. The unicorn they deliver it to, after inspecting the goods, drops it off for the one who hired him for the heist.

The consequences of the theft could be more than any one pony can bear.

Rated Teen for drug references and disturbing (not graphic) scenes.

This is my first submission, brought about by a need to do something creative. Criticism isn't just welcome, it's requested.

The main story is set after Tirek's defeat and does not account for Season 5 or later.

The Prologue and .5 chapters are set during "It's About Time" and are meant as an amusing distraction. The remark Twilight made, "Why isn't anypony surprised to see me sneaking around in here?" is what set off a lot of the ideas.

In an attempt to get away from home and see a different world, I moved to Equestria. A lot of humans have recently, so it's not unusual for me to be here. While I'm still getting used to talking horses, I never thought about dating one. I'm still not totally on board for the whole cross species thing, but it's not uncommon anymore so I don't worry about it too much. My closest friend, a Unicorn called Twilight Sparkle, has been kind enough to let me stay at her library while I search for a home here myself. Her boyfriend, who's actually a human too, and I don't get along too well, but for her sake, I don't say anything too bad about him in front of her. But I just didn't expect things to escalate between us like they did.
