It has been nearly a thousand years since Twilight Sparkle died. Celestia and Luna are gone. The Holy Equestrian Diarchy, ruled by a bigoted and brutal theocracy, has driven ponies apart and divided them along tribal lines. Unicorns are driven from society, feared and hated.

The lessons of friendship, painstakingly written down in the journal of friendship by Princess Twilight and her friends, have been warped and twisted to fit the Diarchy's hateful ideology. But to the average pony, this is the truth and reality of the world they live in, beset on all sides by enemies monstrous and magical.

Emberglow, a young pegasus mare, aspires to join the elite Knights, magically enhanced warriors dedicated to the holy Saints worshiped by the state religion. Can she uncover the lies and deceptions that have led the world to this bitter place?

(This is an alternate universe where Discord is set free from his stone prison a little earlier than the canon show and of course more changes along the way. Again, this sort of follows the show but not in the way you’d think.)

(This idea came from someone in a Fluttercord Discord server. Her name is Chaoticsyd. This alternate universe was her idea. I only took it and added on to it with my own ideas with her permission. Without her, this story wouldn’t exist. ^^)

After Discord finds a small child, his whole life takes a huge turn. One that he would never imagine would change his outlook on chaos and harmony forever.

One thousand years ago, the princess of Sun was defeated by Discord, who has since ruled over the entirety of Equestria. His royal advisor, Pinkie Pie, help him fighting his most terrible enemy: boredom!
With the anniversary of his reign coming soon, he has an idea to shake things up a bit.
But he is not the only one unsatisfied with the status quo. Hidden from its eyes, some ponies are ready to take action. The celebration might end up much more exciting than Discord thought, after all...

Ryuuzan, a gryphon, overhears a looming threat and plans against the Equestrian Crown. He sets off to Canterlot to warn the Royal Sisters, but how can he aptly convey the threats when he cannot speak, and without being viewed as a threat as well.

Luna is witness to when the gryphon arrives, and with her court scribe Quill Feather, they attempt to unravel the mystery of the gravely injured gryphon, and the reasons why he risked everything to get to Canterlot Castle.

After the wedding of Shining Armour and Cadence, tension has been spreading through the land of Equestria. Guards have been doubled and tripled in order to hunt down any remaining changelings still within the borders of Equestria. Status, successfully located and captured a single changeling living within the Everfree Forest. Now he shall stand before the three princesses, Cadence, Luna and Celestia, where he shall await his punishment. But what if, he knew nothing of Queen Chrysalis or even the existence of such an event?

All event happen before the Season 6 finale.

Two enemies wind up in Equestria due to a major mishap. Will they come to terms with this world? Most importantly, will they be able to put their old feud aside to survive?

A creature of old has been present in Equestria since the beginning of the rule of the alicorns, watching, waiting. He saw their fall and the sisters' rise to power. Now, for the first time in eons, he steps from watching and takes action.
