This story is a sequel to An Open Door

After receiving a request from a rather unexpected source, Twilight helps deliver a long-overdue message from Celestia to her former student.

This story is set one month after An Open Door, which itself occurs about six months after Rainbow Rocks.

It's not required to read Open Door first. Just go into this story with the understanding that the Dazzlings have started to befriend the others, and have come to realize there is some joy to be found in their new life-after-magic. If you're interested in how that went down on this timeline from Adagio's perspective, then Open Door is the place to check that out.

Cover art is my own. You may have seen it here already, as another author had created a story based on it some time ago. Drawing this piece is what got me interested in fanfiction. So now that I've had a taste of writing with Open Door, I've decided to come full-circle and write something for it myself.

The Dazzlings started this battle, and now they were intent on ending it. But in order for them to seize Equestria and the human world, they'd have to go through their final opponents: The Rainbooms.

The stage was set, the final battle was nigh, and the two musicians were ready for the duel that would decide the fate of both the worlds.

[DISCLAIMER]: This ending is not affiliated with the actual film. It goes down a little differently in the actual movie itself, this was just how I saw it ending before I saw Rainbow Rocks itself. I hope you enjoyed my interpretation of it.

Rainbows at night. Strange apparitions in the sky. Seismic disturbances. Bizarre rumors.

No doubt about it...there's definitely something strange going on at Canterlot High School.

Twilight Sparkle is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery.

(( Kendell2 and I had the exact same idea at the exact same time (when we both saw Sunset TF and aid in the rainbow blast) and it was detached from the main storyline (and is technically NOT even 100% canon to the pony pov series since it's only a POSSIBLE future), so he wanted to do it with me. ))

A possible future of the pony pov series from Sunset Shimmer's POV, telling of her experiences and the moment that changed everything for her in Rainbow Rocks. How in the heck she found a place to live on Earth. How in the heck she managed to know where Twilight Sparkle was to steal her crown. And why she acted the way she did in the second film. Along with how things go slightly differently with the factors of the pony pov verse in play. To say more would be spoilers. Not for the movie, but for the shattering reveal contained within for the pony pov verse as a whole.

This is only a possible future for the pony pov series universe, not a definite one, just one of many, but I felt it was one that needed to be shared. This does not set anything in stone in the pony pov series universe, this is, again, just one of infinite possibilities.

The charade was over, the Dazzlings defeated, and CHS and Equestria saved from annihilation.

Since their defeat, Adagio had decided to throw in the towel and give up her remaining life. By singing a song they had kept safe with them, The Dazzlings managed to remove all of their memories and age, and begin a brand new life. Hopefully, these second lives would be a lot better than their previous lives.

By singing their song, they transformed themselves into newborns and sent themselves to the only person who would be willing to help them start over: Sunset Shimmer...

There's also some essence of SunLight in this later on, nothing too extreme, just Sunset and Twilight sharing some deep moments together, that's all.

A year after the Battle of the Bands, high school graduation is nearing and the girls are ready to face the world, though Sunset Shimmer worries that they might drift apart. But when Twilight's human self arrives and ends up getting infected with dark magic, they must call upon Princess Twilight once more to engage in a battle that will decide the fate of their worlds.

Twilight Sparkle is stressed with her new role as a princess and wishes she could go back to being a regular old unicorn.

Dawn Cracker, a unicorn living with her indebted father, wishes she had the life of a princess.

When the two meet, they discover they look a great deal alike and (of course) decide to switch places. What chaos will become of this?

Sunset Shimmer has finally returned to Princess Celestia after thirty moons in the other world. Will Celestia give her former student a second chance? Or will Sunset's dreams be dashed forever?

It's been two and a half years since Twilight Sparkle returned from the other world, leaving Sunset Shimmer in the company of the alternate group of friends she made. However, not all has gone well for her one-time rival in the other world. On the night of the 30th moon, Sunset emerges from the mirror and uses an ancient relic to switch their bodies. Alone in the care of Sunset's overbearing ex-tutor, Twilight uncovers the forgotten past that drove her rival to such desperation, while back in Ponyville, Sunset struggles with Twilight's lifestyle clashing with her own dreams.

Rainbow Dash has never been to the eye-doctor. One afternoon Twilight takes her to the clinic to check her eyes after a minor flight accident. They end up finding out something that makes no sense whatsoever to any pony in Ponyville.

Woke up this morning to see that my random story that was published for no reason got featured 2/28/14. I'm not complaining, but it isn't a work of art :P. I guess anything a teenager writes about multicolored ponies amuses you.
