Journal: Day Thirteen,

I find myself ever more daunted by the concept of magic, seeking refuge in what I do know. A little hoof-grease and well deployed machines could solve any problem. I swear it!

A unicorn inept at using more than remedial-level spells tackles the challenges of life in Equestria - with science! His story may just take him through the wildest or strangest places - or situations - imaginable.

Ever been bested by a sickeningly sweet pony, specifically one who wields the Elements of Harmony? Are you just tired of love and hope and kindness filling your world? I know I am. Come to the next meeting of Villains Anonymous, where no unjust deed of cruelty goes unrewarded. Seeing as how some of you want me to write more, I'll get on it soon.

Cheerilee loves teaching. Despite all the trials and tribulations it presents, it's worth it in the end when her students learn something new. Not even a letter from the Ministry of Education reminding her about the impending teacher evaluations can sway her. But tack on her new relationship, the constant 'help' of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and some strange behavior from Dinky and Sparkler, and her life is about to become a lot more complicated.

This story is set in parallel with The Life and Times of a Winning Pony and The Study of a Winning Pony with the approval of Chengar Qordath, Comma-Kazie and Ponibius.

Twenty years to the day, a mare had her father taken away from her, she visits him to celebrate her birthday, but what if her father is trapped in a dark cold prison. Will she be able to talk to him? Will she have the best birthday ever? Who is she and who is her father?

The pony race is in decline. Equestria is nearing an end, ravaged by war and betrayal. Celestia has ruled her kingdom for centuries beyond counting, but even she is not truly immortal. Death has come at last to claim the weakening princess.

Death is not evil, nor is he good. He simply is.

What if the Elements of Harmony didn't imprison Discord in a stone tomb? What if he became good rather than evil? Will he and Celestia's relationship be fixed? Will they be a couple? Every day on Twitter, I throw out story idea after story idea (#PonyStoryIdea). Some are ideas I think have merit, but I am unwilling or unable to invest time in. Others are just plain silly. Every once in a while, though, I will take one and run with it... on Twitter.

This is a series of extremely short stories, unrelated except for that origin.

The mountain town of Rocky Slopes is generally a peaceful town. The mine provides decent jobs and the town flourishes because of it. But as a large storm brews, ponies are unsure of their lives as a curse starts to spread. Can they find the cause before it destroys the town?
