Corporal Raincloud has been selected for the most coveted post in the Equestrian military, Canterlot Palace. At first, it seems like a dream come true. He soon comes to realize he had no idea what he was in for, an up-close look behind the scenes at Equestria's seat of power.

When you're so close but so far from the one you love, all you can do is daydream..

The spotlight's burning glare and vibrating roaring crowds fade on the famous vice-captain's ears as the Autumn tour for Equestria's famous Wonderbolts comes to a dramatic close with a turnout of fans bigger than they've had all season. Soarin is finally ready to relax for a change. Drink a few glasses of cider, fly around freely, and spend time with his very special somepony, who he hasn't seen in quite some time.

That was before said somepony decided to drop in unexpected at his final show.

In my life I've met many ponies, but few have ever made a lasting impact on it. Sure. There have been good friends along the way, and I've had my fair share of romance, but there's only been one pony who's ever really made an impression on my life that stuck. If it weren't for him, I don't think I would be where I am today.

As time went on, I made my dream a reality, but along the way I lost touch with that pony. Every day I hoped that life would give me a chance to find him again and repay him for giving me the strength to achieve my goals.

It's funny how life gives us exactly what we want when we least expect it...

Comet is awake during the day. Angel stays up all night.

Comet likes using a halberd. Angel excels at using claws.

Comet is a pegasus. Angel is a bat pony.

Together, they take on all the twists and turns life hands them. However, things don't always go as planned.

Lightning Dust got accepted into the Wonderbolts Academy. Her dream is one step closer to coming true, but not just her dream, her Mother's too. To Lightning Dust, being a Wonderbolt isn't just about being famous, or the best. It's about making her Mom proud.

Lightning writes to her Mom everyday after arriving at the Academy and these are her letters.

She looked out the window. Hundreds of ponies were gathered in front of her home, all stomping on the ground in applause. Twilight waved a hoof at all the ponies, immediately the crowd bowed. She quickly shut the window. “Spike... Tell me you saw the hundreds of ponies out there too.”

“Yup.”

Rainbow Dash is the best at many things: she can fly at speeds that most pegusi can only ever dream of; she's the only pegasus to ever produce a Sonic Rainboom (and live); she's the pony you can trust to always have your back in a pinch; she can turn any area in Ponyville into her own personal bed, from clouds and trees to rooftops and the rafters in the town gazebo. To say the least, Rainbow Dash is a mare of many talents, with an over-inflated ego to go with them.

One thing she isn't very good at, though, is letting her emotions show. For that, she's always needed her dad.
