Discord's just gotten back from hopping around reality in a bad state. Near death, he is wheeled into the Canterlot hospital, barely clinging to his last shreds of life. And his day has only started getting complicated.

My prompt was "Children." I wanted to do something besides the usual "Slice of Life" images that prompt might summon, and this is what popped up.

Back in the early days of Equestria, when Luna was still with her sister and Discord was still flesh and blood, a young pony discovers that she is bored with her charmed life. Her name was Celestia, although she prefers to go by Sunny Days.

You see, Celestia feels a bit pressured by her newly approaching 'royal duties,' so she created a new personality for herself: mild-mannered filly-next-door Sunny Days.

Of course, she didn't account for the odd little creature that would soon become her biggest fan. His name was Discord, and he was quite possibly the most annoying and obnoxious animal on the face of the planet.

So love was a foregone conclusion.

Meet Prince Solaris, or "Diddy" as his father calls him. The child of Princess Celestia and Discord, a grand destiny awaits the young boy, one that will one day shape all of Equestria. A villainous agent of destruction...a shining paragon of justice...who can say?

For now, he will simply be known as the Troublemaker, That Child, the Bane of Galas, and My Sunshine...

This is a story about the last two designation, a story about a mother and her child and their bond.
