It is the bright and prosperous future of the 41st Millennium. For ten thousand years, the God-Empress Celestia has sat immobile within her Golden Throne, watching over the countless billions of ponies that stretch from one side of the galaxy to the other. But the fragile peace of the Equestrium is assailed on all sides by the selfish, the spiteful, and the mad. Her Majesty's Most Holy Inquisition of the Ordo Harmonious stands eternally vigilant, ready to face down all that threatens the Equestrium with the full force of the Empress' compassion.

For young Inquisitor Twilight Sparkle, to study the mysteries of magic has been her life's goal. But now the time has come for her to discover something far more powerful than magic and save a galaxy standing the precipice of chaos. In the future, there is only friendship...and hatred is heresy.

Lyra and BonBon go on holiday to the new resort of Mare-On-Sea, and learn of Hinnysmouth, a disreputable seaside village further up the coast. Despite misgivings, they decide to visit Hinnysmouth, and soon regret their curiosity.

A prophecy leads the Imperium of Mankind to deploy a Deathwatch team deep inside the Warp. Soon they encounter Equestria and the "Six Blessings" it harbors. How will ponykind react to the fierce and grim protectors of humanity? The two sides will need to find common ground, and fast: a new threat has arrived in Equestria, and they will stop at nothing to see this fragile alliance destroyed...

Meanwhile, Princess Luna notices something strange in space that could spell danger for all of Equestria. Swept up in a war between the terrifying Tyranid swarm and the vengeful Ultramarines, the ponies must fight for their lives in a war that spans a galaxy.

Twilight's partner in crime, Rarity, insists that two ponies are not sufficient to pull off a job of this caliber. And apparently she has four other participants in mind...
