The Alternate Universe tag is there for obvious reasons. This story is loosely based on the story of what happened when I got my first girlfriend. Spike is me, and Dash is... let's just call her 'K'. I've always wanted to write a fanfic based on my real-life experiences, as well as try my hand at a SpikeDash, so this seemed like the best way to combine the two.

I can see that most of what happens in this story is based on real experiences, so aside from Spike being way out-of-character, my biggest problem is that this line leaves me scratching my head:
Why would Rarity say that to Spike? She'd be far more likely to say it to Dash.

Dash's reaction was funny but, the fact that it was based on actual events had me worried
I gotta say, I was happy to be reading another SpikeDash fic. And I've always wanted to read a sad one. So this fits perfectly, although I have some problems with it. The way Dash just dumped him after 1 day, is pretty harsh. I mean, how old is he? He's depicted as being years younger than the Mane 6, I think that Dash could have gone a little easier on him. Another problem is that it was simply too short. I don't mind it being this short, it was a good story, you have my like and fave, but I just think it could have been longer. Other than that, it was a great story, I loved it, I can actually see Spike acting like this. Dash was probably his first marefriend and Spike definitely wasn't her first coltfriend. If you are new to dating someone, then chances are you may act too clingy without knowing it. Luckily, I haven't had to go through the pain of break-ups. But being single and never having a Girlfriend for your entire 17 years of life is just as painful, if not worse, than breaking up with your first love.

So he could only be 10-16 at the time of this fic, and considering how slowly dragons age...
