When Spike challenges Rainbow Dash to a race, the winner of which must do something for the loser, she gleefully accepts. To her dismay she loses — but rather than make her do something embarrassing like she was expecting him to, all Spike wants is for Dash to treat him to dinner.
As the night wears on, Spike drops a few hints about his true feelings — which Dash fails to pick up on. Can she realise the truth, or is it too late?

Not bad at all. This ship exists and is much-liked by Spike fans in spite of the fact that Rainbow Dash didn't even seem to realize she was meeting more than one person in the pilot. Her rudeness was equal to Spike's optimism, but this idea that Dash was just on a no-brakes ego trip at the moment (even though you never referred to that moment) would explain it all.
When did he get over Rarity? Also, how is he an adult dragon when they age slower than ponies? He would be an adult way after they die. I`m getting caught up in the facts. This should have the alternate universe tag. I like this story.
