Well if the cannon is as big as I think it is, it sounds like it would be the 800mm Dora Cannon from WW2 Nazi Germany, So I would be afraid of Eerie Dark as well

Link is dead.

Yeah i know i couldn't get it to go

Was expecting Dim to take that as a compliment and be all smug. Disappointed.

Eerie brought up his magic and basically said, "You have a tiny baby dick."
There is no way to take that as a compliment.
When I heard giant cannon the size of the ship all i could think was Space Battleship Yamato
8743407
Good ol' Gustav on a dreadnought, I can only imagine the horrors that will cause. Wonder what kind of secondary armament these ships have since I don't think guns of Gustav/Dora's size will be that useful in a close range fight due to bad turret traverse and reload.
8744299
Well, dreadnoughts. Take your pick of weapons, there are many.
8744299
Also, these guns aren't on a turret. You have to turn the whole ship to aim them. The gun is inside of the ship running the whole length of it.
I would imagine that the recoil is such that it would propel the ship backwards.
8744351
It sounds like, to not make an insulting reference, eerie uses the logic of the nazis when making immensely largely and possibly impractical super guns XD.
8744351
Ah ok, I was thinking it was turreted at the back with the gun barrel going along the entire length of the deck(so no superstructure since that would block the gun traverse). I know Eerie said the ship was built around the gun, but I initially interpreted it as the ship was designed to deal with the shock firing such a turreted gun from a ship would cause. Now I see why someone else said it reminded them of Space Battleship Yamato.

On a flying platform, the guns become a lot more practical. They're not tearing up the railroad with each firing and they can be moved from place to place without the need to lay track.
All of the major issues are solved.
Btw, it's 'gauge', not 'gage'.
Surprised that the Editing Squad didn't catch.
Alas, whilst we of the flames play with them, even we get burnt from time to time.
Just not in the like that!
8744554
Weird, I get a red line beneath it.
Well, on the plus side, it is likely that at some point the Commodore will be informed that this Dark Lord is not, in fact, the one killing everyone! Good news, because the original is, well, way worse.
Damn, that burn at the end was quite severe. And that's saying something with Dim in the room.
Also, seems like we should write a book on Dim! I call it, "Atlas Clenched"
8744430
But you can't run the proper distance to save your eardrums on an airship. I suppose magic would help solve that tho.
8744568
That's because "gage" and "gauge" are dialectical and also kinda jargony. They're both right, and they mean the same thing, but there are places where only one of them is right...which is admittedly annoying.

Helmets and earplugs.
Oh that was a glorious sick burn at Dim's expense. Also love how the pirate captain gets to have all the cake <3
And yet Blackbird is still the best for the job.
8744430
Plus, if the enemy approaches in force, they can fire the gun in their general direction to rocket away at impractical speeds.
...Gustav? Gustav, mein freund?
... did they put a fucking Paris Gun... on an Airship? Holy fuck. That’s one way to get rid of the Paris Gun’s glaring weakness. Christ.
Edit: The Paris Gun is actually bigger then the ones described here. But if they can fit that I wouldn’t put it past Eerie to get it done.
you have Blackbird a morter... bravo sir

Uh, no. That's not a mortar.
Hooray, spinal mounts!
