I have a feeling that though Dim and Vinyl may not make good friends, if they started talking fire magic and keeping their loved ones safe I think they'd end up with a healthy respect for each other.
Chromium doesn't seem aware of the spectrum, and is rather... standoff-ish, to put it lightly. It's a matter of "us vs. them", and that's not how the world is - not that he would be around to realise this, anyway.
There is peace and restfulness in the dark. It isn’t necessarily bad. Quiet solitude and the wondor of dreams and imagination instead of blazing light revealing all and exposing every thought. Dim is like Luna.
Chromium seems rigid and disinterested. He rouses himself only at great price, and commands others to live as he does without thinking if that is possible or right. He is a poor ally. Strong but brittle and inflexible.
I am wondering if the pink one is keeping an eye on Dim.
This chapter works well and progresses the story nicely. I didn't like ol' Chromie before, but now I like him even less. Oh well.

The Pink One seems to have an eye everywhere, so it's likely.
Dim won't need to be remembered for shit. He's probably immortal now what with that void god, or whatever it was, passing Dim and Blackbird his "torch"
Chromium is clearly wrong, on at least two accounts:
- Mortals can easily comprehend the mortal viewpoint, it's called basic imagination.
- He's making the classic mistake of equating Goodness, Order and Light, as absolutes even, when they are three separate spectrums.
This is on top of a raging superiority complex that makes everything he says feel insincere, as if he's trying to prop himself up rather than make a good reasonable argument.

that's an Elder Dragon for you...everything of them, filtered by Arrogance. Deserved Arrogance, in the majority case, but Arrogance nonetheless.
"I will not be judged by insignificant mortals!"
Okay, but what about your own young who said that they are being FUCKED and HARMED...even KILLED for what you Elder Dragons have done? That the only reason SOME of them are doing ANYTHING is because it THREATENS them?
Not only that, but one can NOT conflate Order with Good. After all, the Ultimate Form of order is destruction. When everything is dead, then everything exists in perfect order. Not only that, but if someone were to MIND CONTROL the great majority of Elder Dragons to make them "Peaceful & Orderly", I somehow doubt that Chromium would find that to be Good or part of the Light.
To truly be of the Light, then your morals shouldn't exist purely for those who are like you, to make YOUR world easier and more comfortable. In fact Celestia is a beacon of Light and she would certainly disagree with the things Chromium has said.
Frankly I think Chromium KNEW deep down that he was wrong, or at the very least he did NOT have a proper defense against those words. So instead he left in a huff, because he knew that he had lost. If he truly believed as he did, he wouldn't care so much for the opinions and such of "Insignificant Mortals" and leave in a such an emotional manner.
