5741395 Like I said in the forum, I had to change it so that mentally Spike was 18 years old in Equestria before he became physically 18 in Mareth. That's the only major change, but there were a lot of little touch ups I added as well.

Like I say in the description, I'm actually going to avoid using the canon characters. They interact with the Champion from the game, who is also in the world somewhere. Yes, I may reference them, but I'm actually more interested in trying to come up with my own monsters and characters to fit into this world. I want to have this taking place in regions that the Champion doesn't explore, or have Spike run into characters the Champion doesn't meet. Since this is a big world, and what the Champion experiences in-game shouldn't be taken as all the world has to offer.
Thus I'm trying to make things that I think would fit into the world. You'll see what I mean soon enough.

5742543 I can't say too much because spoilers, but I will say that he is currently in a cave, and I have enough ideas for two or three chapters taking place in here alone. And then there could be parts of other environments that maybe the Champion hasn't explored.
We will be seeing some of the classics, for sure, but again, I want to try and keep things mostly original, because to be honest I am terrible when it comes to writing pre-existing characters well. However, I can write my own characters just fine, since I know them in and out.

However, if you haven't played the game this is a crossover of, Corruption of Champions, then... well, I guess you wouldn't really need to worry about spoilers, as there isn't really much story to it to spoil. It's mostly smut. Like this story will be. All you need to know is that this is a world that corrupts and perverts things.

I hope to see you do original take on some of the encounters, like having Spike encounter a demon spirit that can possess others being's privates likes Exgartuan and he permanently possess Spike's penis thus making it grow huge to the point that his sheath can no longer hide or hold his new huge penis which resulted that his penis is now always out in the open for all to see and now Spike have a travelling companion that he can't completely control. And/or have Spike meet an anthro she-male reptile likes Roxanne Poisontail maybe a close relative but instead of having a drinking contest where the prize is sex Spike would make the game more interesting by upping the stakes by having the loser becomes the winner sex slave forever and Spike wins the drinking contest due to his dragon immunity alcohol thus winning a recruit to his growing harem/hoard. Maybe meet a female gargoyle that is similar to her and Spike recruit her to his harem/hoard. I would like to see Spike goes to a city/village that is full of Minotaurs of both sex a maybe some she-male Minotaurs. As you can see I'm very excited about the potential this story could have and to see what you will do with it.

I'm glad you're excited by the potential! That was the idea behind it, do things that you haven't already seen in the game itself, as that's something I feel takes away from my enjoyment of a lot of CoC based fics. It's all stuff that's already there. If I wanted to read about the main character doing it with Amelie, I'd play the game, for the umpteenth time. With this, I want to explore the world without just showing off the stuff that's already been done.
And as for what he'd look like, something of an inbetween of those. He wouldn't be huge like the first one, but he'd still have more quite a bit more muscle to him than the second one.

Just a heads up for both this and the game it's based on, there is a lot of perverted transformation material in this, things that can lean towards very specific fetishes. In the game it's mostly alright since you can choose which fetishes you experience. However, in here, there's less choice since it's whatever I plan out for him. I may allow audience participation in some parts, but for the most part I'll be doing my own thing.
And in regards to netorare, I literally had to look that up. And no, there's nothing of that sort here.

The thing with quite a few of the characters in the game, however, is that they aren't really explored too much beyond the PC going down on them or vice versa.
Though I can understand why you've chosen to branch of from them. You've mentioned before having to work with predefined character personalities, there's also the point to make that Mareth is definitely a lot bigger than the game makes out to be. If you ever talked to Dominika in the bar of Tel'Adre, some of her dialogue can give you a fair idea of just how big the world is, that's not to mention you only have so many locations to explore, one stock portion of a specific biome obviously isn't a good representative of diversity.
Still, my agreement aside. It would be nice to see some of those characters portrayed in different scenarios, assuming you felt there was enough leeway to work with them of course.
5744066 I'll concede there. I might have him run into some familiar faces at certain points. However, there's also one other thing that holds me back: I don't get as connected to the characters, so I don't really know that much about them despite having played many times to the point of getting over powered. It's honestly easier to build my own characters than it is to try and find every bit of information and personality traits of the existing characters to appease fans of the work. I love CoC for the setting and theme, not so much for the story aspects. Very few side characters actually interest me story-wise. To be honest, I actually end up skimming a lot of the text sections, even during the sex scenes. I'm actually usually more focused on fighting and leveling up, surprisingly.

5744091 No shame in that. If I had to criticize CoC, it would be:
A. The large blocks of text that are usually repeated for every enemy of the same type. It is easy to just ignore them all together and just look for the bold spots to find what has changed (and sometimes they aren't even in bold!)
B. A lot of characters' development, short of lovers, consists mainly of "This is my name and what I do, wanna have sex?"
C. The ability to acquire so many lovers (with excellently written loving dialogue) diminishes the significance of them. After getting a few they are less lovers and more convenient sex scenes that come with some item perks. Often times I just forget I have Phylla until I really just look under the Lovers tab to see who I haven't interacted with for a while.

To my previous comment I was just saying that you don't have to exactly the same way but have it similar. I can't wait to see Spike upgrade his weardrobe to some unconvincing and indecent magical armor(like this just reverse image search the image for the full pic) that still protects his 'expose parts' due to it being magical and it is crotch-hugging tight and it inhabited/possessed by a female soul. And I can't wait to see more of Spike's transformations, likes getting more feminine to the point that he looks like a very feminine male and maybe get some permanent high-heels that grow out of the bottom of his feet that forces Spike to walks with a very feminine sway. And can you add some game logic in likes adding perks that Spike grains at the end of each chapter likes how they did in these 'Fallout: Equestria' stories? And if you looking for more ideas for some monsters try looking up 'Gideon's Bestiary by Gideon' and you can finds it on e-hentai if you having a hard time finding it. Just finished reading what you have up, and so far it's pretty good. Spike's not OP, like I know some people make the hero, so there's a feeling of struggle. I loved how you made him lose like that, brings him down a bit.

I wanted the vampire gremlin to feel sort of like the basilisk in the game. It slowly drains one of your stats and is incredibly easy to lose to if you aren't careful. I just had Spike apply a bit of logic to his second encounter to keep things fresh. Can't let game logic dictate everything that happens, otherwise things don't make too much sense and aren't interesting to read.
Amazing, this story is just... I have no idea, its just too good for words!!!
