Now that was a powerful scene, and Luna really felt like someone with centuries of experience with the burden of leadership.
. . . Filly bits?
I do not "like" this story... I LOVE IT! Luna now finally understands humanity and Celestia finally understands she isn't truly immortal, there is no such thing. Come ragnarok, the end of all days, all things will end... Even the gods. Or so I'm told.
All in all, excellent job.
5021377 Don't be jealous of the filly bits.
Looks like the humans have brought about the destruction of yet another entranced and fossilised civilisation. Where civilisation is a way of thinking, not just a way of being, region, economics, trade or production.
Next up. Luna goes to the human village, and says to the human corrupted pony guards there, I want to get laid. More humans than ponies would probably reply, hell yes, revenge at last. Pound that ass to moondust.
5021626 Pound that ass to moondust? I don't know if I'm supposed to feel exhilarated or disgusted by such a statement.
5021726
Well, that state of mind does fit in very closely with the rest of the story. Purely accidentally of course.
Even though I would have done it differently, I really like this whole, Luna coming to this realization by herself and lecturig Celestia, better than my own idea of the humans doing it themselves.
5021798 And the question now becomes, 'Who is stallion enough for her?'
5021811
Princess Luna, as a most attractive mare, shall be snu-snued by the most handsome stallions in all of Equestria.
Then the large stallions.
Then the petite stallions.
Then the large stallions again.
5021989 If you honestly think that's going to happen, you haven't been paying attention. :) Don't worry, there will be snu-snu but the question is, which couple will it be? There are several very slowly developing relationships, let's see who can spot them.
5021811
Dan has Apple Spice Power, now, right?
So Big Mac gives blood transfusions to all the men, and in 11 months, the country is overrun by tiny, adorable centaurs.
5022049 I am excited to see the developing couples and the obvious pair of beacon and his close friend. Inter-racial couples wooo
PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU, hurry with the Q & A... SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!
You know the whole toilet issue made me think of this old web-comic

My face when I found the sequel -->
5056524 Feel strongly about the a'dam do you?
5056694 Um, how is Vacca's name a W.o.T. reference? And who else has a W.o.T. name?
5056804 It must be coincidence then, nevermind. Don't mind me.
5056906 See now you have me curious, where are the hidden references that I apparently put in? Send me a Personal Message about this, I am genuinely curious.
5056648 How could you possibly tell?
5057161 It's just that some names in the story share some of the names of minor characters in the W.o.T.
I really like where this going and my mode has deactivated. I give a standing ovation.
Chapter 16 incoming.
OMG! Yes! I just hope you gloss over the clop bits.
And here we go again with 'they'. The humans that came, 'they' have't had wars which cost the lives of millions. A lot of them were college students. 'They' do not see gates where boundaries are, only some of them do.
THEY didn't have the guiding force of some overarching power to help them, they had to find their own way through trial and error. We consider them slightly inferior in some ways... Yes, they've had their wars which cost the lives of millions.-Luna
What Luna DOESNT know is that ever since man first evolved from a simple primate, the very earth of which we walked on was out to get us. It threw wave after wave of diseases, wild animals and natural disasters. And yet...we survived. Every since year that humans ever existed is a struggle for survival, even in this modern era. All it takes is for someone to muck up and slip down some stairs to break his/her neck. Not to also mention that when Homo Sapians first started building towns they had to deal with the most feared thing of that time: viruses. They could never properly be killed...mainly because humans back then had very crappy knowledge in medicine. We had to start off from square one of being early pre history cave men and look where we are now...a race who intellegence has allowed them to begin to touch the stars. Humans learned that they only achieve life when they reach death (something that Luna has just realised in this chapter). Humans had no one to look up to or to guide them other than themselves and their imaginary friends in the sky who they called upon to justify their actions while they slaughtered each other. Humans brought them selfs to be the best, meaning they wanted to be at the top...of every thing. The food chain, Mt Everest, the world itself. Nothing could stop humanity from reaching the goals it desired. Yes humanity struggled through the ages of history with blood spattered on each page of its exiestance through trail and error, but it's no where close to ever being considered inferior.
A great wisdom radiates from Luna in this chapter. To make room for any civilization to thrive, the gods have to make way sooner or later. Or rather...
I also followed that path in my stories in the depiction of the 'Golden Millennia of Harmony'.
Ok, you foreshadowed nicely some things, the thing about the necklace, Dan's realisation and te formation of a human splinter group (altoug i expected the cociologist to be invited into the parliment) .....but luna´s sudden atack of wisdom.....completely blindsided me, i honestly thought the princesses would have to be smacked in the face by the cold cod of arguments
Wha-wha-whaaaa...
DO I HEAR REDEMPTION?!
This.
...I think my trigger is beginning to relax.
Oh my...

Finally.
Missed this, on my previous read.
That seems unfair of Luna to say, since she was in a position to object to every plan Celestia made.
6343276 But remember, originally Luna hadn't even been clued in on the entire situation. The fifty unicorns had already left by the time she was let in on the loop.
This... This is perfect.
I kinda doubted it would come to a head, but this is perfect. The signs are all there, throughout the first story. "Ponies have perfect self control and would never harm an innocent! Unlike you humans who had so many wars!" Ponies attempted the kill the human trying to make contact. Even after they learn he is sapient. Ponies directly cause the massacre. And as it turns out, ponies had a history worse than humans. Humanity has only come close to extinction a couple times. None of which were directly our fault. (Look up mitochondrial eve)
Ponies were the direct cause of their almost extinction. And they got saved 'Deus ex machina' style.
I hated Celestia in this story for a while. I was afraid it would turn into "its OK you evil apes, you try to be good but you'll never be as good as ponies" like so many stories do.
There's more, but the whole series has been building up to this particular realization. I like it. It isn't often that a story makes me feel angry like that.
Good job. Any story that can evoke emotion like that is a very good story.
filly bits... (snorts into my glass).
That aside, whew. This is just... Words fail me.
... I approve
You ass
Other than Luna with the slave collar and even then it was already illegal. I see no fault in the Equestrian government actions. The massacre was done by traitors. New Humansville is self run by laws they voted on themselves. Everything they have is thanks to the kindness and generosity of the princesses even the land that live on. The magic laws, the humans voted on themselves and yet they chaff at them thinking somehow the ponies are making them 2nd class citizens by teaching them something totally new? They are children when it comes to magic. What Luna said in this chapter in regards of what they should have done is "Here is how you do magic, now do not kill yourselves"? They are citizens that they accepted. So yes Romans do as Romans do.
Sorry for ranting. This story just has lost its joy of reading.
Especially with every mare getting raped and every stallion having to rape the ones they love in order to perpetuate the species.Edit: I retract the part with the crossout
Ok, I'm confused, what brought this on?

Exclamation: BE QUITE MEATBAG!
9527285 He has a right to his opinion, no matter how I or anyone else feel about it. It is a right, not a privilege.
Yep, that's what I thought the necklace was for. It takes away their magic, their longevity, making them mortal and thus........ it can allow them to die, like mortals........

But because we never stopped learning anything was possible. For humans the only limitations are time and how far we are willing to go to reach the stars. One day I hope that there will be real starships like in star trek. Are there aliens I don't know cause I don't believe every inch of space has been mapped considering how huge it is. But I hope one day we will find out. That data from the show can be real and new adventures are just around the corner.

Not sure if just missed the reference
