Twilight casts a spell that doesn't go as advertised. SURPRISE! I wasn't expecting the acting out part though. That was different.
An interesting wrap-up, so Dashie and Jack are gonna keep their relationship secret from the rest of their supposedly best friends and other members of the Elements of Harmony. I think Discord would love to use that against them later, or some other villain.

It started as an idea for a simple clopfic but as I developed it, I wanted to remove the sexual component from The Observatory. However, my friends (largely Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle fans) talked me into keeping it light and sexual, so I did so.
I completely understand where the emotional depth was lost. I'm sorry that it disappointed you.

The concept, of Pinkie throwing a party so they can get to know each other better, is something very interesting! You could take this same plot and take it to newer heights on a newer fanfic, if you wish.

Sweetie Belle thought that, since Diamond Tiara's skill was to order others around, theirs could too. Apple Bloom suggested that Spike act as their butler and clean the tree house for them. Scootaloo asked him to serve them drinks like a butler too.
They went through other tasks too, like having him carry them around, help them with their homework, and use his fire breath to roast marshmallows.
Spike eventually complained, and Apple Bloom wanted to know why, since he never complained when he worked for Applejack. He explained that was because she saved his life. This triggers the CMC to try to put him in danger and then save his life, potentially getting life-saving cutie marks.
He couldn't return home soon enough.

I'm definitely thinking about it. Six months later, Pinkie (or Twilight) can decide to throw another one, but this time Twilight comes prepared, Rainbow Dash and Applejack react to swinging without each other, Fluttershy attempts to top her partner, Rarity's partner isn't as understanding, and Pinkie... not sure yet, but there is a lot of room for more fun.

But I am SO there for a "proper" key party and the inevitable explanations.

Actually no I think I figured out why I'm uncomfortable with it. It's because of the desire to posses and be possessed that's what makes me uncomfortable about the hole Dom sub thing.

D/s dynamics are often hard to wrap one's head around. Given the short-term nature of this one, I'd say it was more like Top/Bottom vs Dom/Sub. It's not like Rarity and Fluttershy are launching into a full 24/7 lifestyle. This was just a bit of an experiment to see if they liked it.
Also, I tried to avoid letting Fluttershy fall into the "submissive" stereotype. While she was obedient and eager to please, she had her own desires and methods that were separate from Rarity's. I tried my best to model it off of "Green Isn't Your Color" in that way; Fluttershy has limits, and she will stop and have a chat if things go too far. In this case, however, Rarity did not hit those limits, so it all ended well.
This was sweet. I love Flarity!
