Where have I heard that before?
Us writers all have to start somewhere. And this is not bad for a first attempt, though - if you don't mind me saying - your editor doesn't appear to have done much.
But aside from the grammar and spelling issues, this looks to be the start of a good story. A story I will be following.

Part of me thinks that this is somewhat rushed, but for your first story that's hardly a surprise. Then there's the fact my own first story was just as rushed.
So, what does Dash have to do with Shield's predicament?
Oh, wow, a fabulous tale, this be! I'm excited for the Shield/Rainbow confrontation, which I do hope will arrive come next chapter! Liked and Favorited, and I hope you'll be happy to learn you've received a Follower in me!
Right, Thanks to all so far who have liked this, in the epilogue it mentions a shockwave that is rainbow colored, this is actually the first sonic rainboom rainbow dash does in the show during the young flyers competition, Shield was close to the epicenter and so the force knocked him out, wiping his memory and his cutie mark.
Also I will freely admit that this is rushed, and I am have been a bit to inpatient with my editor, not his fault, I was just over excited.
But I am glad people are looking forward to more. I will also take suggestions for any little plot ideas, I have the main story line planned out, just need to fill some gaps.
