Equestria has known peace for decades. The Bearers of the Elements of Harmony are growing old. Some feel it is time to pass the Elements on to the next generation of Bearers. Others claim the title lasts until death. However, when a sudden and horribly violent calamity rocks the foundation of all that Pony kind holds dear, six new heroes will be forced to step up, some kicking and screaming, to defend everyone. The fate of Ponykind hangs in the balance. It is the dawn of a new era in pony history. The only question is if Ponykind will live to see it.

Luna was never banished, Discord is Celestia's court jester, the Elements of Harmony do not exist, and Twilight grows more pompous and more egotistical every day.

Celestia is not amused.

This story is on indefinite hiatus. I might revisit it, so it's not cancelled, but I'm not currently skilled enough as an author to do some of the things I wanted. Believe me, I've got the drafts to prove it.

It's been just under a month since Twilight has become a princess, and there has been plenty of things she needed to get used to. One of which was the almost daily pranks Discord has tendencies to pull on either her or Princess Celestia, but oddly enough never Luna. Now that she thinks of it, the two of them hardly ever acknowledge each other outside of court or social gatherings. Discord's only friend is Fluttershy not only is she his friend, but he's also in love with her. He tries to get on the good side of her friends, but he gets rejected. Queen Chrysalis uses Discord's situation to her advantage to find food for her changelings.
