1) The rules said humanized prompts were acceptable, so I humanized this one.

2) The movie they're watching is not-so-subtly referencing Takashi Miike's 1999 film Audition. Not a film for the faint of heart.

3) I know this prompt is lame and I apologize for that.

“Let’s watch a movie, she said. It’ll be fun, she said.”

Discord cringed inwardly. The man on screen screamed as a needle was driven through his eye. Celestia ate another handful of popcorn.

When Celestia suggested a movie to entertain them on a rainy October night, he thought she would be the kind to suggest something intelligent or thought provoking.

The man screamed again as another needle was driven through his chest.

Or at the very least something funny. Discord was a man of humor, after all. Sick and twisted as his humor may be. Not a man of violence.

He glanced down at her. The princess stared intently at the screen, not even remotely reacting to the torture scene. Rather odd for a woman of such great compassion.

Another scream. He cringed again.

But if this relationship were any normal, he wouldn’t be apart of it.

“Are you alright?” Celestia was looked up with a concerned smile, “You’re squeezing my hand pretty tight.”

Discord glanced down. He had indeed trapped her soft hand in a subconscious deathgrip. “O-oh, well that’s nothing really-”

“And you’re shaking a little bit.”

“I’m just cold!” He said quickly, releasing her hand and snapping his fingers. A big fluffy blanket appeared, enveloping the two.

Celestia laughed, pulling herself closer to him. “I won’t tell anyone. Promise.”

The movies’ villainess echoed Celestia’s laugh, in a decidedly less innocent manner, as she began cutting through the protagonists' foot with piano wire.

Discord rolled his eyes, “Next time, I’m picking what we watch.”

I think the idea of sweet, benevolent Princess Celestia secretly being a fan of horror movies is a rather funny one. I guess it's all in how I interpret her. Heck, the reason I ship her with Discord is because I interpret her as one part elegant, intelligent and charming, and one part eccentric, quirky, and mischievous. (A side most ponies don't see of her.) It's that weird balance working together in harmony that attracts him to her.

Whoops, I rambled again.
