After Midna, the Twilight Princess, returned to the Twilight Realm and destroyed the Mirror of Twilight in the process, Link continues to travel around the land of Hyrule. One year has passed, and our hero in green revisits the Sacred Grove in Faron Woods where the legendary Master Sword resides. As he looks at the blade and all the events that was associated with it, a portal forms above him. He is sucked into the portal along with the Master Sword and later finds himself in a grassy field.

This story takes place after the events of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

About 15 years ago, a dark age rose against the promising land of Equestria. The Princess Luna and her beloved husband, Chaotic Noteworthy, was a little away from the birth of there daughter, Lilac.
Unable to fight the war of the Changlings, Chaotic stayed and fought to the death while his wife and soon to be filly escaped to safety.
Or so they say.
My name is Lilac Amethyst. I am fifteen years of age, and I live with my mother in Aricastle, a land that was created for a small population of those who survived the war.
I never met my father before. And more determined than ever to find him myself. With my archery skills, and my bravery, I will travel.
To the afterlife to find my father.

Countless years had passed since King Sombra started haunting the Crystal Empire. The citizens were listless, forgetful; but when the mane 6 started investigating, truths were uncovered that shook their entire world. Rarity is at the center of it all, as she and her friends try to balance justice with duty and compassion. Political intrigue, magic, romance, and darkness cloaks them all.

Solutions to war, famine, disease and societal collapse are not easily happened upon. For Celestia and Luna, the solution was a mystery for eons, until their top six battle mages forged a plan from their very essence. To unite their absolute individual powers into one worthy host. Only one pony was ever worthy. His deeds and heroism ultimately culled evil and hatred from Equestria and allowed peace to reign. After this achievement, the power vanished of its own accord upon the natural death of its wielder.

However, it seems that something in the shadows has provoked the lost power's return in the form of a new carrier, and she's going to find out her true destiny through a series of literal trials by fire.
