A new power is rising, its dark shadow threatens to cross all across Equestria. The Mane six has left for a quest and isn't expected back for a long time, so now the balance is uneven. It is time to see if Equestria can stand on its own against this new rising darkness. For if all falls into darkness, all will be lost.

Princess Luna has returned. To many, this is seen as a joyous occasion, but for the Princess of the Night, her reappearance brings only heartbreak. The world Luna once knew is but a thing of the past, lost within the dusty corridors of her mind, while memories of her loved ones haunt her nightmares.

Unbeknownst to Celestia, Luna was with a foal when she was banished, forced to give birth in her lunar exile. Now, centuries later, she has come back, broken and somber, to re-take her rightful position as co-ruler of Equestria.

Her hopes to connect with her subjects fading, Luna finds a growing jealousy festering within herself as she fails to accept the past and make amends with her sister.

In an Equestria where it is more than okay to be gay, Roseluck finds herself without a special somepony of her own. However, change in the form of an earnest, yet odd, quills and sofas salespony is on the way. The only problem is this: he's a stallion. And Roseluck's no filthy breeder, is she?

When Discord hears that his botanical creation, poison joke, continues to flourish in the Everfree, he simply cannot resist a good prank. Poison joke in hand, he storms Canterlot Castle.

Needless to say, the princesses are not impressed. But then, neither is Discord, since the joke also has an unexpected effect on him. And none of them know the cure.

Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy were brought together by Twilight Sparkle and the magic of friendship and have had incredible experiences. But now they are trapped in a world they don't understand-Equestria.
