After returning from Hearth's Warming Eve in Canterlot Rarity cannot stop thinking about her purple unicorn friend in a new light. Great angst and shipping ensues.

Rarity has a new coltfriend, and she couldn't be happier, but she isn't sure what to do if their next date proves more... intimate than the last. She seeks guidance from all of her friends, but the best advice comes from a most unexpected source.

A conversation with Applejack spurs Fluttershy to check up on Twilight's mental well-being. Twilight's reaction to her encouragement, however, is probably not what she had in mind...

One week ago, Twilight Sparkle was crowned the fourth Princess of Equestria. Tonight, Ponyville hosts the 1003rd Summer Sun Celebration, and Princess Celestia and Princess Luna want a vacation. With two fine young princesses like Cadance and Twilight to take over for them, nothing could possibly go wrong.

When Rarity tells Fluttershy that Twilight Sparkle is moving back to Canterlot soon, Fluttershy is devastated. Not wanting Twilight to leave before she can tell her how she feels, Fluttershy tries to work up the courage to express herself to Twilight one last time.

What happens when you realize that your feelings for one of your friends aren't quite the same as your feelings for the rest of them? Do you just prefer some friends for others, or is it a sign of something deeper? What do you do with those feelings? Hide them? Admit them? And how will the rest of your friends react when they find out?

Twilight is going to have to do her best to find the answers, because they're anything but obvious.

Yes, this is a story about romance, but I'm trying to use it to explore the relationships between the characters and see how they'd really react if romantic feelings ever did crop up, and how such a development would impact the cast as a whole.
